Job Description

Basic Job Functions:-

  • The Facility Technician will support Facilities and Maintenance operations with day to day maintenance and repairs of facility building equipment in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • The successful individual will have a broad knowledge of facility equipment, working knowledge of maintenance operations and a problem solver.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure all facilities & systems under MECH Department responsibility are installed, tested and commissioned within technical requirements. Facilities/ systems include operations, preventive and corrective maintenance of MECH and other related facilities/ systems.
  • Oversee main contractor and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) performances, to ensure the project deliverables are met the project timeline.
  • Create SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) RFC (Response Flow Chart) and others necessary document for 24/7 Operational Round and Reading activities to ensure system parameters within technical specifications.
  • Establish and Manage Preventive/Corrective/Milestone Maintenance execution program for all Mechanical systems.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:-

  • Interfaces with other departments, contractor and supplier personnel.
  • Flexible for alternate shifts weekly in 24/7 Shift operations.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist with office moves including furniture, cubicle changes and moving people throughout campus.
  • Maintains PMT building and grounds facilities using applicable resources and equipment.
  • Assist with installation of all signage and safety equipment on campus.
  • Performs other assignments as required.

  • This position will perform mechanical and plumbing work, general maintenance working with inspectors, contractors, and department liaisons as requested
  • Routine duties include the identification, troubleshooting and repair of any irregular conditions on equipment, timely follow-up on work orders, performing preventative maintenance
  • Minor electrical and plumbing repairs and small projects throughout PBG Campus
  • Complete various work orders as assigned
  • Support other technical and non-technical departments for company business
  • Maintain (control and monitor) the facility system is running 24/7 without ITP/ITS and lead OPS teams to recover system in the shortest time.
  • Ensure that all OPS technicians are fully trained and assessed in Plant Safety and Operational procedures.
  • Daily communication updates, weekly, monthly report on plant facility status such as performance trending.
  • Operation shift reports review and trending of load checking.
  • Log sheet review for any abnormality and system improvement.
  • Health assessment report of equipment, analysis and recommendation, required spares and consumables of each equipment or whole systems.
  • Incident of equipment investigate and ensure incident report to be sent out within 24 hours and root causes analysis.
  • Ensures all compliance, safety, operations and maintenance procedures, RFC, SOO are constantly reviewed, updated.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant technical and supervision in the related field.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with solid working knowledge of facilities systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial building utility power, air compressors, emergency generators, plumbing, fire detection and facility systems.
  • Able to detect and resolve problems using professional knowledge and strong problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of MAXIMO CMMS

Required Skills:-

  • Knowledge of building electrical, mechanical and HVAC with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 70E Arc Flash programs and LOTO.
  • Knowledge of facility Building Management Systems, access control, security, life safety, and fire systems.
  • Experience with blue prints, equipment manuals, specifications and equipment trouble shooting.
  • Hands on position working with tools to accomplish repairs.
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skill
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work well with internal and external teams

Physical Requirements:-

  • Will sit and stand for long periods during the day.
  • Will walk, climb stairs and on equipment.
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist
  • May stoop, kneel, bend, talk and hear.
  • May lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to use hands to lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
  • May be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment.
