Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Guide, monitor, and assess employee performance and facilitate meaningful performance discussions, in collaboration with investment area and technology area primes.
  • Provide regular and balanced feedback to employees and timely recognition of their contributions. Engage in candid discussions especially on difficult issues to ensure they are dealt with effectively.
  • Set team objectives which align with department and organizational objectives, in collaboration with investment area and technology area primes.
  • Ensure the organizational processes are followed within the department through a combination of training and assessment.
  • Provide input on all staffing decisions such as hiring and promotions; make these decisions based on the best interest of the team, department, and company.
  • Drive improvements; Explain/present complex ideas; Support opinions and decisions with relevant and clearly presented data.
  • Provide input into budgeting, department planning, and resource forecasts.
  • Own and manage test infrastructure; define, trial, maintain, and facilitate purchasing of tools for productivity and quality improvements; work with other teams to create new and automate existing processes and solutions.
  • Involvement in planning across multiple projects within investment and technology areas; support road mapping activities.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in an engineering or software development role.
  • Experience on developing Web Based and Desktop based UI applications – Using Javascript based programming.
  • Experience supervising or providing technical leadership to a professional team.
  • A degree in Engineering- Preferable Computer Science.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of an engineering discipline and related procedures.
  • Experience leading a development team using Kanban methods.
  • Knowledge of organization objectives and practices; able to identify business and technical risks and escalate as required.
  • Anticipates problems and challenges and proposes innovative solutions that are consistent with organization objectives; champions and drives innovation and new business ideas.
  • Facilitates the exploration of ideas and solutions and creates the right conditions where people can share ideas, take risks and are driven to contribute more.
  • Brings the right people together to solve problems; utilizes an appropriate leadership style and effectively delegates work to develop their team’s competence and confidence.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within the team and across departments.
