Job Description

The Project Manager acts as liaison between the company and the client through an entire project life-cycle from order acceptance by Sensia through to client sign-off. The position of Project Manager has responsibility for successfully planning, controlling and managing project deliverables.  To ensure that customer satisfaction is met, he or she manages the details of overall project schedules, and budgets.  The Project Manager manages the efforts of team members and third party vendors. Usually involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients.  May work at client site on a day-to-day or periodic basis. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.  The duties will also require proposal and estimate generation, client negotiations, contract review and sub-contractor communications.

Essential Functions:-

Functional:-

  • Proficiency with Project Management functions such as customer interfacing, understanding contracts, project budget maintenance, project schedule maintenance and project manpower planning.
  • Knowledge of current AGA, API Measurement Standards, ISO Measurement Standards, OIML requirements and recommended practices, calculations and guidelines.
  • Define and implement project detail design standards to be followed during engineering detail design and interface to fabrication.
  • Follow-up project system design and procurement VS detail design inputs, leads 30%, 60%, 90% model reviews and validate the system final design & skid fabrication for the projects.
  • Ensure and expedite the project team prior the start of the Work for the timely availability and adequacy of the deliverables related to and impacting fabrication.
  • Technically qualify and align the 3rd party skid fabricators workflows and standards.
  • Project Manage issues related to the fabricator Purchase Order / Contract Administration.
  • Project Manage for all Project Progress issues related to Changes Requests or Changes Orders / Variations Orders or/and Claims raised by the Fabrication yards.
  • Chair Fabrication Subcontractor Weekly / Monthly Progress Meetings prepare and issue MoM.
  • Develop FAT, SAT and commissioning procedures in collaboration with the field service teams.
  • Supervise and coordinate with the site fabrication team.

Leadership:-

  • Commercial project achievement and leadership in a controls engineering and measurement related business.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and work within a technical team environment, and managing a geographically dispersed engineering and project delivery organization and making effective use of collaboration tools and remote management skill.
  • Manages execution of moderate to large scale projects within margin targets.
  • Manages and reports all financial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Interface with yard and Fabrication yard Management daily and monitor their observance of Project Targets requirements.

Interpersonal:-

  • Able to work with customers for business development and implementation strategies.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to effectively work in a team setting.
  • May apply complex and advanced project management and scheduling techniques.

Business:-

  • Strong understanding of financial aspects of project management, percentage completion, revenue recognition, and project accounting.
  • Personal commitment to excellence in every aspect of the business with an uncompromising stance on ethics and transparency, internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation skill to manage the desired outcomes.
  • May participate in development of business team strategic plan.

Minimum Technical Requirements:-

  • Technical education BTech/BE/BSc/MSc – Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil &Gas process modules including structures, pressure vessels, piping, valves and pumps, engineering management.
  • Experience on fabrication of process skids and modules.
  • Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation on process skids and modules.
  • Experience with International Codes and Standards.
  • Experienced in Engineering Subcontracts Management.
  • Experienced in Project Subcontracts Management.
  • Experienced in Project Planning & Scheduling / Work Progress Reporting.
  • Experience with cost control and management.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office Programs for reporting.
