Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:-

  • Manage vendors and a group of assigned engineers at the site level to ensure quality work execution according to the project schedule.
  • Verify all drawings before releasing them for execution.
  • Ensure civil work aligns with approved drawings.
  • Ensure civil work adheres to the approved schedule.
  • Oversee the Handover-Takeover (HOTO) process.
  • Manage contract closure activities.
  • Supervise civil foundation work for module mounting structures, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
  • Supervise and inspect column leg civil foundation work.
  • Oversee and check land leveling activities.
  • Supervise sub-station foundation construction work.
  • Supervise the construction of main control room buildings and inverter control rooms.
  • Supervise tower construction civil work.
  • Oversee plant plumbing work.
  • Supervise the construction of roads.
  • Manage the construction of drainage systems.
  • Act as an active member of the HOTO team, ensuring timely handover of commissioned projects.
  • Adhere to the organizational safety policy.
  • Implement Integrated Management System (IMS), maintain records, and prepare for audits.
  • Inspect, test, and report non-conformities in consultation with designated authorities, ensuring adherence to approved Field Quality Plans (FQPs) covering all stages from raw materials to finished structures.

Deliverables:-

  • Adhere to the project schedule and monitor progress daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly until completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed in line with engineering drawings and quality standards within the project schedule commissioning date.
  • Develop team members assigned to him to handle future responsibilities effectively.
  • Ensure zero rework and zero accidents at the field level.
  • Complete HOTO activities within the stipulated period by the assigned contractors.

Profile & Eligibility Criteria:-

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 7-12 years in supervising civil construction of switchyard and control room buildings.
  • Ability to manage a project sub-team to meet project schedule requirements.
  • Knowledge of civil construction standards to ensure quality execution.
  • Prepare project progress and MIS reports, and update relevant authorities about project progress.
  • Coordinate with supply chain management, vendors, and construction project managers.
  • Measure and certify bills with clients and contractors, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Conduct civil-related testing such as raw material tests, dimension and marking verifications, pull-out tests, and stability tests.
  • Knowledge of building construction, steel construction RCC, control room construction, and construction standards.
  • Familiarity with contour and land leveling with proper slope.
  • Proficiency in using civil-related equipment such as Auto level, Dumpy level, total station machine, and GPS.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) of Civil Materials, surveying, AutoCAD, and other civil-related software.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple contractors and teams at the site level.
