Job Description

Need to provide SCM support to the corporate SCM and other regional SCM group. And to ensure all appropriate supplies and equipment are inventoried, received and distributed in accordance with proper and prudent practices. Works under limited supervision. Should be able to work without supervision for regular work.

Duties & Responsibilities:-

Functions:-

Essential:-

  • Work with engineering and requestors to make sure demand for material and services is planned and properly define, using OII’s ERP/Psoft system.
  • Review, understand and maintain demand information to meet Operations and the requestor’ expectation.
  • Demand management and Manage Inventory Replenishment.
  • Identify available suppliers for each requisitioned item.
  • Contribute to potentially merge overstock information with the BUs buy messages.
  • Enter and maintain Inter-unit orders to fulfill demand
  • Work with purchasing rescores to submit enquiries, obtain and evaluate quotes, prepare recommendation and finalization the commercial terms & conditions, and Vendor registration
  • Send RFQ (Request for Quotation) as per technical specs of required material.
  • Liaison with suppliers and create/maintain effective working relationships.
  • Prepare Purchase orders in cooperation with other purchasing and sourcing resources as required.
  • Receive incoming items and ensure that receipts are maintained in the ERP system.
  • Maintain relevant purchase records & documents.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Label and mark product/materials with identifying information and ensure that inventory cycle counts are properly managed, if inventory module is implemented. Maintain manual systems if required.
  • Work with engineering to set up part numbers.
  • Tracking, and reporting non-conforming product. Notify Global Inventory Planning Group in case of any discrepancies
  • Move stock / items to appropriate locations and ensure that they are properly stored.
  • Development of reliable and alternate sources of supply.
  • Ensure high performance of supplier On Time Delivery (OTD) by sending OTD scorecard to all suppliers on monthly as well yearly basis.
  • Handle Offshore Inventory Change Request for all regions.
  • Follow the certain parameters and criteria as per standardized list and align with right the process.
  • Review change requests within 24 hrs.
Non Essential:-
  • Understand and comply with SCM processes.
  • Prepare & update SCM process documents.
  • Share regular updates about work.
  • Ascertain assigned work is delivered with required quality, within schedule.
  • Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.
  • Provide guidance on areas of expertise to other team members.
  • Attend all team meetings and complete action item on time.

Qualifications:-

Required:-

  • Req Minimum Qualification: Bachelors in Science / Commerce / PGDCA/ BCA.
  • Minimum 4 years of practical experience as SCM related task and min 2 years of experience as inventory coordinator.

Desired:-

  • Intermediate to Expert level knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially of Excel, word and Visio.
  • Knowledge on MS Excel including formulas, special functions viz. Pivot table, pivot chart, vlookup, hlookup etc.
  • Knowledge of ERP System or Inventory Software.
