Job Description

Job Function:-

  • Develop Energy automation with Emerging segments like Data center, Microgrid & Command and Control center for Distribution Utilities etc..
  • Work with Microgrid LoB and segment teams for driving Microgrid business in Greater India Zone
  • Close co-ordination with V1 Sales/ Segment teams working with customers in these segments

Key Requirements:-

  • Develop relationships with key Decision makers and associated ecosystem of consultants, contractors and End users
  • Collaborate with segments teams/V1 teams in segments like C&SP, P&G, Building segment etc..
  • Ensure buy-in from internal stakeholders (Engineering team (System Architects), BU marketing teams, Segment teams) to execute the growth strategy for Energy Automation solutions in segments
  • Own growth target for the segments and achieve the annual sales KPIs
  • Map out leads (Projects under execution, projects proposed etc.) and work with the V1 Sales team & other stakeholders to increase the win rate
  • Ensure early engagement and participation in opportunities, including prescription, bid to bid support etc..


  • Engineering degree -Electrical/Electronics
  • Candidate should have sales, business development or marketing background with 7-10 years of work experience in Energy Automation Solutions
  • Should have handled Datacenter customers and have a basic understanding of Data Center segment requirements and system architectures
  • Deep understanding on Renewable projects, ROI calculations, Battery Energy Storage Systems ( BESS), DER etc..
  • Should have the ability work with Consultants/ End users for influencing in Prescription of Energy Automation solutions
  • Ability to pursue multiple stakeholders in collaboration with respective internal teams is a must
  • Successful track-record in establishing local customer intimacy through connections at Executives level and key decision makers within the customer organization
  • Strong influencing skills and intercultural skills
  • Patience is a virtue, due to the long lifecycle of project and plenty of variables which makes things very unpredictable. Should be self-motivated to carry oneself through any situation.

  • People person, as the job largely involves working together/ Collaboration with V1 sales/ Segment team of different experience levels from his / her assigned regions


  • Post-graduation in business management (PGPM / MBA)
  • Background in Renewable segment (Esp. Automation and Software) for Solar/ Wind
  • Knowledge on ETAP softwares like OTS / PSMS etc..
