Sr Engineer RCP Design

• Experienced Senior Engineer to perform control & Protection panel design in REP APAC.
• This position is to execute global customer projects from Chennai. Engineer’s holding Electrical Bachelor's degree from a recognized/reputed institution with minimum 6-8 years of experience in Electrical / Power System engineering company is preferable.
• He/she should know the engineering tool, Cubicle design concept, Control & Protection interlock of LV, MV & HV voltage level.
• Engineer having related working experience in Engineering Consulting company/EPC or other reputed companies in Energy Automation or power system field are preferable

Main responsibilities:-

• Technical responsibility for the complete project delivery
• Ensuring quality (content, timing, costs) of the deliverables, documentation and studies
• Forwarding reports to Technical Leader or Project manager
• Writing technical specifications and design notes
• Performing design studies and details studies if required
• Participating in design review meetings with Customer
• Preparing FAT & SAT test reports and participate during FAT
• Contributing to technical innovation
• Improving the level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications:-

• B.E/B.Tech Electrical engineering
• Minimum 6 or 8 years of experience in relevant field

Skills and Experiences

• Good level of knowledge and working experience in Control and Protection Panel design with engineering tool knowledge to execute Global projects HV, MV & LV Control and Protection panel engineering
• Study customer specification and proposing Basic design like Cubicle General Arrangement, BOM, Protection SLD and Contorl and Logic diagram
• Preparation of engineering documents such as Protection Conceptual Design, Functional Specifications, and application notes
• Detailed engineering and manufacturing documents preparation in coordination with Drafting team, Panel vendor and panel manufacturing team
• Knowledge of various protection applications including differential, distance, generator & motor is must
• AutoCAD, Elec desk, E-base, E-Plan and other engineering tool experience is must
• Familiarity and Work experience with all ranges of SE numerical relays are must
• ABB, Siemens, GE, SEL & others makes relays knowledge and work experience will be an added advantages
• Familiar with IEC & ANSI standard Knowledge
• Good in English communications both verbal and written is mus.
• Basic understanding of SCADA and Communication protocols including IEC61850, Modbus, etc
• Relay setting & logic file preparation including CID/ICD file is add an advantage
• Global customer projects design experience will be an added advantage
• Ready for travel and overseas deputations for engineering activities & FAT
• CT, VT calculation and Protection Relays setting calculation experience is added advantage
• To coordinate with Internal or end customer for technical coordination, design & document approval
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with all internal & external stake holders during project execution
• Familiar and working experience in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) Main responsibilities
• CT, VT sizing calculation, Protection relay setting calculation and Configuration is add an advantage
