Job Description

Currently we are looking for a Sourcing Specialist in New Dehli, India to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Sourcing Specialist you will be  responsible for tendering, evaluating, negotiating, executing, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply arrangements for active projects related to Green Hydrogen/Green Ammonia projects. To assist the contract representatives with the pro-active administration to secure the cost, time and quality as envisaged in the contracts.

Main responsibilities:-

Operating System:-

  • Follow the guidelines and prescribed structures as outlined by the operating system
  • Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system
  • Successfully implement the operating system throughout the development, structuring and execution phase of the Project

Tenders:-

  • Prepare tender documents with the input from engineering, quality, HSE and other relevant departments in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Commercial assessment of tenders against key technical drawings and alignment of bills of quantities
  • Participate in tender clarification meetings

Preparation of contracts:-

  • Prepare contracts for major purchases.

Management of contracts:-

  • Draft contract correspondence, variation orders and notices in accordance with the contract
  • Maintain a contract register depicting correspondence in and out, variations, contract risks and final account details
  • Ensure that Work Package Manager and Project Manager is kept abreast of critical topics that have the potential to affect time, cost or quality
  • Attend internal and external progress meetings in coordination with the project manager
  • Settle disputes on minor contract issues
  • Keep supplier relations and correspondence open and clear
  • Liaise with Project Controller and set up a system to ensure all contract changes are traceable from start to finish so that an auditable trail is available
  • Receive and check invoices, prepare payment certificates in accordance with the contracts
  • Prepare final account agreements

Qualifications and competencies:-

  • Bachelors degree in quantity surveying ,Engineering or Supply Chain
  • 3-5 years of work experience in an industrial environment including sourcing or engineering experience related to assigned categories and equipment
  • Demonstrate familiarity with contract terms and conditions
  • Proven track record in affecting contract/sourcing savings
  • Contracts suites, NEC, GCC and FIDIC
  • Category and commodity management
  • Process plant sourcing
  • EPC Contractors Schedule and the activities and deliverables
  • Experience from the Oil and Gas/Hydrogen Industry
  • Driven, always looking for ways to improve and having high aspirations for own work
