In the System Design, our investigations lay the theoretical foundation for HVDC systems and create technically optimized solutions for our customers to address the challenges of the energy transition. The daily work is very varied, as no HVDC project is like the other. Conducting detailed design calculations using analytical or simulation methods is just as much a part of the daily tasks as collaborating and coordinating with other teams within Siemens Energy to achieve the best solution for our customers. Furthermore, we present the results of our design studies to our customers and, if necessary, verify them through appropriate measurements and tests. Additionally, there is the opportunity to advance and shape cross-team collaboration within the HVDC area through training, workshops, continuous improvement, or digitalization
Responsibilities:-
- Main circuit parameters
- Transient stress and insulation coordination and AC circuit breaker requirements, AC low frequency characteristics, DC low frequency characteristics
- Electrical Interference study, High Frequency characteristics
- Electrical and magnetic fields and Losses calculation
- Reliability, availability and maintainability and AC temporary over voltage and DC temporary over voltage, Short circuit studies AC / DC and Read, analyze and interpret customer requirement
What You Bring
- PSCAD
- MATLAB
- GIT, Having a previous experience of working on HVDC - LCC projects would be an added advantage.
- Innovate and work out new techniques and solutions and active collaboration with Siemens Energy, Germany and other countries and Impart training to external parties like clients and Be willing to take over roles of other team members if the situation demands and 15+ Yrs of experience and Qualification . B.E. / B.Tech / M. Tech - Electrical with specialization in power system
