Service Engineer

This is an Service Engineer role, reporting to the Service Technical Support Lead in Business Area – MOTION and located in Bangalore.

Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for analysing fault data of failed product based on that providing Technical support to site service engineer for troubleshooting activity i.e. hardware or software and co-ordinate with stake holder to correction of hardware/software issues as per requirement of customer as well as for improvement of product.
• Apply expertise to understanding the converter logic as well as improvement proposed to related stake holder for product improvement.
• Conduct software validation test and ensure product performance test in lab/field level.
• Discuss and suggest parameter regarding fine-tune the software depend on the field analysis.
• Provide technical support to service engineer as well as to the customers.
• Lead and support troubleshooting activities on installed base.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering OR E&E (Electrical Engineering) completed by recognized University and proven track record in resolving critical problem and good understanding of electrical Schematic, logic, and controls.
• Team leading capability added advantage and experience 2-3 years of 3 phase electric locomotives products services.
• Demonstrable expertise in Troubleshooting of rolling stock Equipment’s, fault finding analysis in terms of drive train (preferably IR 3 phase Electric locomotives, Conventional Electric locomotives, EMU and Metro will be added advantage).
• Demonstrable expertise in Troubleshooting of rolling stock equipment’s, fault finding analysis in terms of drive train (preferably IR 3 phase Electric locomotives, Conventional Electric locomotives, EMU and Metro will be added advantage).
• Expertise in Troubleshooting of IGBT based Propulsion system as well as Auxiliary, Battery charger and Propulsion of EMU and metros.

Skills:-

• Good understanding of electrical installations in rail vehicles (Knowledge on Electrical Locomotive/EMU/Metro is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of protocols like CAN open, J1939, Ethernet (TCPIP/UDP/TRDP), MVB is an advantage.
• Willingness to perform commissioning tasks at sites (approx. 30% of working hours).
• Good communication skills in English, Hindi both written and spoken, other languages are an advantage.
