Senior Systems Engineer – Electrification

Job Summary:-

• This role is to work on system architecture definition, analysis and selection in line with customer requirements for electrification devices such as DC – DC converters, Inverters, on-board chargers and other components for EV applications. The person will participate in system-level requirements analysis, power electronics layout, component selection, layout design, circuitry analysis, design reviews and pre-development processes. Accountable for design of electrical interconnections and protection as part of the APAC / regional eMobility development team. Responsible for supporting the optimal electrical integration of our products in customer vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Execute the system engineering work packages and technical solutions for the new product development projects.
• Analyze customer requirements and dissect them into logical functional groups for allcoation and SOR compliance analysis
• Define the product specification for higher voltage applications, assist in architecture level simulations, layout advantages and optimal design configurations
• Import requirements into Jazz, create new requirement and define system interfaces such as connectors, electrical circuitry limits and electronic components
• Define system boundary conditions, behavioral simulation inputs, conditions and expected outcomes
• Collaborates with validation teams to build test cases and write test procedures.
• Utilizes the DFSS methodology and tools. Develops System-FMEA to ensure design robustness. Contributes to continued enhancement of architecture to support additional product features.
• Good understanding of function safety(FuSa) line items like HARA, FSR, and FSC etc, and independently derive the TSR (Technical safety requirements).
• Expertise in the design of vehicle LV and HV power systems and components, including wire harness and protection
• Knowledge using DFSS and DFx practices: Manufacturing, Test, Repair, Quality, etc.
• Hands on experience of building and testing circuits
• Expert knowledge of common CAD and CAE tools
• Familiar with electric vehicle standards and regulations including ISO26262 functional safety and EMC / EMI (IEC standards)

Qualifications:-

Requirement:-

• Master’s in electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics engineering
• 4 years of experience with multinational engineering organization
• Exposure to AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE standards,  IBM Jazz Tools, Vector Tools such as CANape and CANalyzer  and MATLAB/Simulink tools.
• Work & interact with global cross-functional and cross-cultural team. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
