Senior Staff Engineer - UI Tester

Infineon developed a strategy to harmonize software development methodology and have common automation framework that enables development and release of software being developed by different teams using different technologies. Infineon searches a senior person that develop and drive this new methodology forward:

• Understand SDLC (software development life cycle)
• Develop with design engineers, methods that could enable them to build and release their software easily
• Drive harmonization efforts in terms of different tools/frameworks that are used for different stages of SDLC
• Develop demonstrators for the tools/frameworks selected
• Use and integrate different industry standard tools/frameworks that fit the different parts of SDLC
• Develop an infrastructure which can be rolled out to all software teams
• Writing test automation for UIs and could also include APIs.
• Write test code using UI test frameworks utilizing Protractor, JavaScript, and AngularJS Framework.
• Writes and executes automated test scripts using a pre-defined framework
• Writes positive and negative, smoke ,regression and end to end test scripts to test product functionality and integration with dependency.
• Tests APIs, user interfaces (UIs), web services and/or web applications
• Participates in test automation code reviews
• Collaborates with other quality and development engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline
• Troubleshooting Jenkins, test failures and build configurations
• Interact w/ soft dev teams by working closely in the planning and release activities corresponding to a specific project

Your Profile:-

• Approximately 8+ years of experience in R&D in semiconductor industry with Python programming
• 8 years of development and test automation experience
• Test specs has to be written in JavaScript
• Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of a UI automation framework - Cypress.io , having exp w/ Selenium/ TestComplete could be relevant but the main framework used is Cypress.io
• Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of Jenkins
• Strong understanding of JSON,XML
• Basic knowledge of open source tools such as curl
• Very strong communication skills written & verbal in English
