As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:-
- Developing automated solutions to predict and address potential problems before they result in a service interruption
- Overseeing and adapt monitoring and alerting systems
- Identifying potential process improvements across the entire engineering organization
- Defining and drive architectural enhancements into system to mitigate potential failure points
- Providing impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environment
- Establishing performance baseline, capacity thresholds, correlate events, and define monitoring/alerting criteria
- Providing technical coaching and direction to more junior teammates
- Ensuring uptime SLA 99.17 and response SLA
- Configuring tools/system to monitor the infra continuously and pro-actively
- Building and improve the support work flow and tools
- Providing feedbacks so support tools and features can be built in applications
- Tracking the customer versions and latest versions
- Ensuring the Architecture guidelines received from App arch, Infra arch, security SME are implemented and followed.
- Applying technology and operational best practices in designing, development and implementation standards and capabilities to enable highly available, scalable and reliable infra.
- Planing and execute the approved infra/application changes in a specific change window working with Application support focal.
- Coordinating 24/7 support team comprised of Baker Hughes employees and vendors. Coach and train, and support with high-complexity tasks
Qualification And Experience:-
- Have familiarity with large scale cluster management systems (Mesos, Kubernetes)
- Have demonstrated ability to script around repeatable tasks (Go, Ruby, Python, Bash, powershell)
- Have experience with developing cloud-native applications (High Availability)
- Have ablility to dive into any level of a modern internet service (schedulers, containers, Linux kernel, caching, object storage, distributed filesystems, RDBMS, NoSQL, etc.)
- Be comfortable with network troubleshooting (tcp dump, routing, proxies, firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
- Able to troubleshoot and debug applications (web)
- Be proficient in configuration management systems (Chef, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
- Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending monitoring tools (Sensu, Grafana, Prometheus, Graphite, Splunk, etc.)
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Have hands on experience with Azure or AWS operations (monitoring and support)
- Experience of implementing Operation processes such as user management, back up mgmt., disaster recovery, GDPR, monitoring or other data protection guidelines
- Experience of supporting and providing Technical support for microservices based applications
- Have hands on experience in troubleshooting infrastructure in different environments (private/public cloud)

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Working experience of various IPS/IDS, WAF, Threat Detection system implementations, SIEM, whitelisting and DLP technologies
- Have hands on experience setting up IOT based application infrastructure and interfaces such MQTT, AMQP
