As Senior Project Manager (Wind), you will be reporting to the Director Technical & Projects in India and the following tasks would be a part of your job profile :
- Preparing and managing the overall Project Execution Plan [PEP], Co-ordinate and host relevant project meetings, and managing effective planning, control project closeout of projects.
- Overall responsible for project execution of the local scope of supply (Progress, Time, Cost, Resources, Quality reporting).
- Living up to the processes and deliverables of the project model of the Statkraft company.
- Ensuring day to day communication with project team and relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for the project budget and change orders.
- Responsible for project execution on-site (Daily on-site coordination- & reporting).
- Reporting to steering Committee regularly and ad hoc on project progress, budget, performance, issues, and risks.
- Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.
- Leading and supporting the site team in safety, technical, quality, and environmental systems as required by site requirements as well as National- and International Regulations.
- Manage project required construction permits as a prerequisite for project inception, if not arranged by Client to full extent.
- Ensure the project schedule is regularly updated and is prepared with a look ahead, and all Construction- / Site Manager are actively using the schedule to manage their scopes of work, including teams, Contractors, equipment, and material requirements.
- Proactively work with the Finance team to forecast costs to complete for monthly project reviews and lead a monthly project status meeting, supported by the Local Business Partner, as required.
- Ensure Construction- / Site Manager is procuring labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors in accordance with the project budget.
- Work with the Contract Manager to ensure all contracts (prime and subcontracts) are effectively managed, including change orders and documentation of variances.
- The implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and ensure HSE monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications And Experience:-
We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:
- Bachelor/ Masters, university degree in engineering with documented extensive experience.
- Minimum 12-15 years’ work experience in field of wind project construction with a proven track record.
- Demonstrated experience of having full responsibility for management of project budgets and schedules from early-stage development to construction.
- Strong technical understanding of wind energy technology with experience of contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to build project teams.
- Good management skill and ability to delegate authority.
- Excellent applications of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project (or equivalent), AutoCAD, Share-point, and other applications.
- Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project teams.
- Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
