Job Description

  • Responsible for the functional and technical management of Project Control Tools (EcoSys). Assist project where required with setup and configuration as appropriate for projects.
  • Maintains fit for purpose functionality of Project Controls in line continually changing industry, business and functional requirements. By regular engagement with functional leads and product vendors ensuring functional process and systems alignment.

Merger/Consolidation/Rationalization of Systems:-

  • Provide Inputs and work with selection of tools, Merger of Systems/Database etc with Internal & External Stakeholders.
  • Work with Project Management Office for Implementation of special projects including implementation of new tools, rationalization, alignment etc.

Group Management of Project Control Systems:-

  • Mentor and manage the Project Control Systems leads to support implementation, training, support, and system management and administration in response to project and business requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on technical aspects of system management, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to qualified resources and communicate expectations to obtain desired results.
  • Perform team management duties including setting of KPIs, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, career development, and mentoring.
  • Cost management of group budget.

Strategic Planning and Management:-

  • Maintain fit for purpose functionality of Project Control systems in line with continually changing industry, customer, business, and functional requirements by regular engagement with the BPO, functional managers, and product vendors.
  • Develop and deliver a long-term strategy for Planning systems capability in collaboration with counterparts in Worley’ Global Project Controls Council.
  • Develop system roadmaps and lifecycle plans, including evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Monitor growth of system take up on projects.
  • Monitor volume of system support services via ServiceNow reporting.
  • Optimise implementation and support processes.

Business Development Support:-

  • Develop and maintain marketing materials describing Planning systems capability and differentiators for input to tenders and client presentations.
  • Provide Procurement and Contracts systems input into documentation for ITB’s, project bids and tenders.

Stakeholder Management and Interfaces:-

  • Proactively work with business line functional and operational managers to ensure system benefits are understood and adopted.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders; understand and manage expectations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations as required.
  • Engage and coordinate with iM for infrastructure and database management, system availability and performance, capacity planning, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and adherence to iM governance and security procedures.
  • Manage transition of development tasks to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with IT Commercials for licencing requirements and enforcing contractual obligations.

System Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:-

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of system capabilities and associated work processes.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of functional work processes and procedures, overall EPC business, and project execution; ensure systems are aligned with EMS procedures and processes.Investigate ways to progress systems capabilities to improve productivity, efficiency, or information availability and visibility for projects.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:-

  • A recognised degree or equivalent qualification/experience.

Job Specific Knowledge:-

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Project Management with focus on Project Controls, planning, supply chain, document management etc.
  • Good knowledge of Interfaces with other applications.
  • Strong overall understanding of project requirements, deliverables and workflows.

Industry Specific Experience:-

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Project Controls Systems preferably in Industry leading providers like EcoSys, Cost Management etc.

People Skills:-

  • Collaborative and influential leader who can lead the team and build good relationship with stakeholders.
