Job Description

To support implementation of the Integrity Management services on Pipelines for the allocated Assets/sites. To co-ordinate and action the results of related inspection/maintenance activities on the Operations Integrity Assurance Scheme, for the Integrity Management of pipelines, risers and infrastructure associated with our client’s assets and pipelines in accordance with the relevant parts of the contract as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:-

Essential:-

  • Perform Integrity Management, Inspection Management, Risk Assessment, Corrosion Engineering activities for Pipelines, Risers, Flexibles and associated infrastructure in accordance with client contractual requirements
  • Ensure projects are performed in accordance with industry codes/standards, legislation, accreditation, and Oceaneering or Client policies/procedures
  • Responsible for the creation/continuous improvements of Oceaneering Inspection standards for discipline
  • Responsible for periodic audit of discipline activity against Oceaneering and Client Inspection standards
  • Support the Line Manager (LM) in management of Oceaneering contract providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management
  • Responsible for ensuring all work is complaint with relevant client engineering and safety standards and practices and review any revisions and feedback from client Integrity Focal Point
  • Provide pipeline support to our clients which includes inspection/maintenance activities for the Integrity Management of pipelines, risers and infrastructure in accordance with the relevant parts of the contract as required
  • Develop and maintain all relevant pipeline and subsea documentations
  • Preparation of inspection and corrosion data for input into RBA reviews/and (or) client presentations and meetings
  • Exposure to Pipeline numerical assessments like, UHB analysis, Free Span assessments and associated piping stress calculations
  • Assist with the implementation of an Integrity Risk Management Process, aligned to the client Risk Management Process
  • Produce, review and approve inspection strategies and implement them for pipelines, risers and ESDV’s
  • Input to the production and ongoing management of the asset Annual Inspection Plans and client planning process compliance for corrosion monitoring activities
  • Manage and implement internal and external inspections. Review data and results to assess the remaining operational life of the pipelines. Update, review and approve inspection procedures to reflect results as appropriate
  • Define monitoring data requirements for pipeline integrity and review and interpret monitoring results, review and advise on pipeline re-analysis requirements
  • Coordinate third party inspection contractor activities and progress any resulting recommendations, e.g. the results of ESDV operational closures and leakage testing, updating and issuing of the following plan
  • Compile, review or approve annual report, including Technical Integrity Assessment documents for the above for presentation to the HSE or relevant authorities. Review and amend procedures resulting from new or changes in legislation
  • Attend TAR Meetings, RBA meetings, Asset Integrity meetings and technical practice documentation reviews as required and maintain appropriate levels of contact with asset teams and third parties to ensure an effective inspection and integrity service
  • Provide support to verification activities related to applicable performance standards
  • Input into annual reporting as directed by LM
  • Assist the LM to achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) deliverables and overall management of the service
  • Undertake offshore or site visits as and when required
  • Train junior Engineers and supervise / approve their work

Qualifications:-

Required:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g. Mechanical or allied, Pipeline, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy Engineering)

Desired:-

  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline in a relevant subject (e.g. Mechanical or allied, Pipeline Corrosion, Materials Engineering)
  • Certification relevant to pipeline integrity management

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:-

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in relation to the job description
  • Understanding and application of standards, risk assessments principles, material properties relevant to mechanical plant & equipment integrity and legislation(s) associated with in-service inspection of plant and equipment
  • Understanding of QA/QC systems/procedures and NDT techniques
  • Knowledge of design, manufacturing, metallurgy, welding and codes associated with fabrication and construction of pipeline as well as other flexibles and associated hardware
  • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering, corrosion management, NDE, subsea practices and related legislation and codes of practice
  • Good communicator, both written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others
  • Good ability to develop relationships with client and/or contractor personnel at various levels of seniority and from diverse cultures
