Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Independently designs PCB Layout using Altium Tool as per engineering guidelines.
  • Conversion of legacy design to Altium formats e.g., OrCAD/PADS to Altium etc.
  • Generating engineering documentation for PCB assembly, including schematics, bills of materials, and assembly drawings (Gerber files, pick and place data, etc.).
  • Working with various cross functional teams such as Hardware, Mechanical, SCM, Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), PCB suppliers, Assembly line teams.
  • Keeping updated self with state of art on the latest PCB materials, layer construction techniques, manufacturing guidelines, and implementing them into designs as applicable.
  • Depth in Schematic understanding, circuit flow and component functional knowledge
  • Layout of complex multilayer printed circuit boards containing analog, digital, RF design and high voltage circuits (Power electronics)
  • Ensuring DFM, DFT, DFA constraints setting and generating required documentation.
  • Create component symbol and PCB footprint and manage the central database.
  • Ensure Quality of the deliverable with DPMO calculations

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Expertise in PCB Design using Altium, OrCAD, PADS, Zuken, Cadstar etc.
  • PCB design for EMI/EMC, Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT)
  • Working closely with Hardware, Mechanical, Component and production engineering towards developing new boards with highest emphasis on quality and schedule
  • Knowledge on PLM tools, design release process and PCB lifecycle management
  • Mentor the new team members on design and development of RF product design
  • Must have good experience with Schematic design, Footprint/library creation as per IPC Standards,
  • Expertise in manual and auto routing PCB layout using with depth knowledge of pros and cons of both methods and where to use it.
  • Good knowledge of Through hole, SMT & BGA packages and its implementation
  • Generation of design files which includes BOMs, fabrication and assembly drawing for PCBs.
  • Experience working Signal Integrity and Power Integrity is added advantage.
  • Experience with Multilayer, Flex and High-speed designs used in RF (~40GHz) and data conversion products.
  • Defining PCB stack up as per design complexity, design requirements and manufacturing capability/requirements.
  • Experience in Power electronics board design starting with switcher design to high power converter/Inverters.
  • Working with Microcontrollers, DSP, Memories, Protocol converters layout considerations
  • Experience in High-speed design like DDR, PCIe, MIPI, LVDS interfaces, SDI/SDI/HDMI, Ethernet PCB layout. Layout for
