Senior Mechanical Engineer @ Charging | Electromobility

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead the installation and packaging activities for high voltage charging components, design of mechanical parts, brackets etc.
• Create concepts in CAD, space claim, installation requirements, generate drawings
• Participate in X-functional packaging forum, interact with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive installation requirements for our components
• Support during RFQ phase, review technical specification with supplier
• Review supplier design documents and secure RTS
• Be an active member of our agile team working with the JIRA backlog and secure product documentation and release processes
• Solve challenges in current products and solve quality issues as needed

Competence and relevant experience:-

• Great team player with agile mindset
• Strong communication skills and proven collaboration skills
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and automotive product development
• Knowledge of design and installation of sheet metal, casting, plastic parts for electric vehicle.
• Understanding of thermal management and manufacturing processes
• Excellent knowledge of CAD tool Creo
• BE/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Volvo GTT systems, process and tools knowledge is an asset
