Statkraft in Agreement with Biopharmaceutical Firm for Offtake of Energy from Wind Farms
As Senior Manager/Manager - Market Operations, you’ll report to Head of Operations and following tasks would be a part of your job profile:
- Manage round the clock Operations team and overall market operations activities for Power exchange & Bilateral Trading.
- Co-ordination with State utilities, SLDC’s, RPC’s and RLDC’s for corridor booking, open access approvals and energy settlement.
- Support to shift operators for delivery and other regular activities.
- Hands on experience dealing all kinds of products available in Indian Energy Exchange products (DAM/GDAM/TAM/RTM/REC) – IEX/PXIL.
- Exposure to Group Captive Contracts delivery and energy reconciliation, preferably in region of Tamil Nadu.
- Preparation of customized solutions and proposals for utilities under banking provisions.
- Exposure to handling deep portal bidding.
- Exposure to end-end Scheduling/Reconciliation/Optimization of Power for Long term/Medium Term/Short Term Contracts, preferable for Renewable Energy Plants and Hydro-generating station.
- Creations of operational processes, SOP’s, models, and tools for execution of delivery activities. Planning bidding strategy for revenue maximization.
- Designing of models for optimization of production portfolio of renewable/hydro generating stations.
- Support to Business development team on new business deals pertaining to C&I segment / utilities. Handing all procedural aspects for deal execution.
- Analysis of CERC/SERC Regulations and orders and implementation for operations.
- Automation of activities for improvement of delivery efficiency.
- Co-ordination with internal departments and clients for smooth delivery of operational activities.
Qualification And Experience:-
- Bachelors / Master’s degree in engineering (EE) and MBA preferably.
- Minimum 8-12 years of working experience in utilities/power trading companies and energy exchanges preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive agile processes
- Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to effectively influence decisions, direction, and outcomes
- prior experience in handling power exchange transaction and Renewables Power Scheduling in RLDC/SLDC.
- Flexible in managing 24*7 working (rotational)shift operations as per the business requirement.
- Good understanding of prominent regulations related to short term open access and scheduling of power.
- Power/energy market exposure preferably in a Power Trading company, SLDC or Discom.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Knowledge of Python and advanced macros execution
- Eagerness to learn and develop your own experience of best practices from the global operations of Statkraft.
