We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Special Projects to support our Engineering Development/Excellence initiative. It’s about aligning harmonization strategies with the overall objectives of the company.

Engineering Development/Excellence Projects in scope include (but are not limited to):-
- Provide End to End solution to engineering value chain.
- Develop and manage Global catalogues and libraries
- Item data maintenance, Engineering master data and governance
- Manufacturing processes, Value engineering and cost optimization
- iLogic, FDU and product configuration (ETO to CTO)
- CAD, PDM, PLM tools testing on any development
- Standardization of system, process, and designs
- Digital manufacturing, generative design, etc.
- Opportunity to work and participate in GEA group level initiatives/ Divisional Initiatives
- Structural analysis – FEA
- Latest trends in Engineering Innovation, manufacturing, Digitalization and Automation
Projects should be managed following basic agile principles:-

- Minimum Viable Products (MVP) defined early with a strong (internal) customer focus and business impact
- Short sprints with frequent follow-ups and deliveries to the business
- Deliver on excellence projects within Engineering
- Ad-hoc requirements
- Projects life ranges from 1 month to 6 months or 1 year (Depends on scope)
- Maintain documentation of projects
- Monitor the progress (and escalate issues where appropriate)
- Coordination with Engineering team, excellence team, IT & manufacturing team throughout globe depends on project.
Responsibility/Tasks:-
- Responsible to understand and interpret requirements technically as well as Value delivery point of view.
- Responsible to execute and deliver engineering development projects to business
- Create business proposal to deliver MVP for value engineering
- Continually search for new ways to meet or exceeded expectation to create value to stakeholder
- Proposes value addition solution and in constant seek out diverse thinking to maximize use of stakeholder’s experience, background, and perspective.
- Explains and demonstrates concepts and advanced technologies in an understandable way.
- Create, maintain, and build relationship with internal stakeholder
- Managing communication with Global stakeholders in different time zones as and when required
- IT team for infrastructure/IT related issues
Your profile and qualifications:-
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Project management
- Experience and knowledge of various CAD, PDM and PLM tools (Preferred: Autodesk Inventor with i-Logic)
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault are must.
- Experience and Knowledge of different manufacturing processes
- Highly Analytical and Agile mindset. Network Catalyst.
- This is independent role and hence expected to execute projects independently.
- Working in a global (project) role in challenging environments (e.g., global joint projects)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convince employees to change behaviour without being line manager
- Ability to work in a global role with multinational stakeholders
- Ability to drive efficiency through improved processes
- Takes on tough challenges with sense of ownership. Approach work individually and with teams with optimism and solution-oriented Agile mindset
Added Advantage:-
- Professional experience working on improvement projects
- Knowledge of FDU
- Knowledge of latest trends in Engineering Innovation, manufacturing, Digitalization and Automation
- VBA, Python, or any other programming language
