Valmet Recruitments Senior Engineer Sourcing Job in Mumbai, Maharashtra

To support regional & global category manager to implement Sourcing strategy
Capable to develop new & existing suppliers in Aluminium, Iron, Steel Castings & Forgings category

Able to identify & audit suppliers in line with Supply chain needs & strategy
Take a lead in doing Costs / Price negotiation & agreements with suppliers independently
Doing RFQ and Quotation analysis
Drive supplier performance improvement projects in terms of Leadtime, OTD, Capacity enhancement, Behaviour
Whenever required ready to do daily sourcing routines at supplier place (new order clarification, PO follow up, Scheduling)

Study & Review requirements from drawings, internal and external technical specifications
Able to analyse complex internal / external data and information to drive and implement sourcing strategy
Maintain effective relations with peers, colleagues, and management; to serve as the primary liaison between sites/commodity team and suppliers

Qualification And Experience:-

Mechanical or equivalent Engineering graduate with 8~10 years of experience in Sourcing / Global supply chain
Must have experience in casting & forging category parts sourcing
Candidate from Valve & Pump industry is preferred
Should have good database of supplier network and contacts

Ready to travel (domestic) 50~60% of time
Must have knowledge about different material grades and manufacturing processes and its costs / costs parameters
Should have knowhow of quality processes
Must have very good communication & negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently & in a matrix organization

A confident multi-task person with high level of integrity and trust
Ability to suggest, lead and implement changes
