A manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products, by analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to streamline workflows, minimize waste, and maximize output while adhering to safety and quality standards; often collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and production teams to achieve production goals
Responsibilities Will Be:-
- Process Design and Improvement:-
- Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Designing and implementing new manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Design and development of tools and fixtures.
- Conducting time studies and process capability analysis to identify bottlenecks.
- Implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline production.
- Equipment Selection and Maintenance:-
- Selecting and specifying new manufacturing equipment based on production needs.
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of production machinery.
- Solving equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs.
- Quality Control:-
- Establishing and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Implementing quality control procedures and monitoring product quality metrics.
- Investigating and resolving quality issues.
- Cost Optimization:-
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures in the manufacturing process.
- Analyzing production costs and identifying areas for reduction.
- Managing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs
- Project Management:-
- Leading and managing manufacturing engineering projects from conception to implementation.
- Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Automation and Robotics:-
- Evaluating the potential for automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.
- Designing and implementing automated systems to enhance production efficiency.

- Experience using CAD or CAM software is added advantage
