- We are looking for a Senior Specialist in HVDC & FACTS Control to support our team within various business verticals of Energy Business Unit. We work on various areas like wind, offshore & onshore substations, etc.
- The Energy Systems Spearhead within Energy Business Unit is looking for a dynamic Specialist in High Voltage Direct Current & Flexible AC Transmission Systems Control field.
- Key responsibilities, tasks & important relations
- You shall be working with our technical team. The new position shall be our focal for HVDC & FACTS Control system design and providing technical leadership.
Responsibilities & tasks:-
- Responsible for preparation of control strategy, their implementation and testing in PSCAD for FACTS & HVDC.
- Responsible for software engineering of measurement strategy in MATLAB, configuration of and testing of measurement signals in cubicle with RTDS.
- Responsible for software engineering of open & closed loop control and HMI in MATLAB and code generation for selected Hardware.
- Testing of Control software & hardware with RTDS, supporting FAT and FPT with OEMs/ clients
- Participation in commissioning of FACTS & HVDC control systems/ equipment.
- Coordination between HVDC and HVAC substation control in terms of interfacing engineering.
- Master/Bachelor of Electrical Engineering preferably high voltage or power systems engineering from recognized University
- Should have the experience of 10 to 12 years in design and planning activities for FACTS and HVDC projects.
- Experience in the areas of control, especially in the development of DC control concepts for HVDC.
- Experienced in preparing technical specifications, design calculations, preparation of reports, drawings, and bill of materials for HVDC/ FACTS/ HVAC power system projects.
- Experienced in resolving site queries, attended site meetings, and performed site inspections during the construction phase of HVDC/ FACTS projects.
- Effectively utilize project management tools and software to manage costs, maintain schedules, track project progress, and manage the HVDC/ FACTS design projects.
- Experienced in performing technical, economic, and environmental studies.
- Knowledge of various international standards for HVDC/ FACTS systems and equipment.
- Excellent in English skills oral and written is very important and a requirement.
- Inspection at the production site/site of components and assembly for HVDC, FACTS or HVAC control cabinets.
- Participation in relevant tests at suppliers and at the production site/site.
- Follow-up of quality assurance documentation
