Project Support Engineer

• Assist the Project Manager in all project related activities like preparing of schedule, site survey, system designing, drawings, Bill of Material, Hardware specifications, reports, documentation etc.
• Activity identification, listing, sequencing and estimating activity durations etc.
• Identifying the risks on technical & deployment part of project and conveying proactively with project manager.
• Perform all allocated works, installation and support related to projects.
• Perform support for projects by email, phone, remote access and on-site visits.
• Manage all project engineering resources and third parties, services in line with project schedules and objectives.
• Perform quality control during execution and post commissioning of projects in accordance with the organisation’s quality processes.
• Reporting all completed activities and planned activities regularly to project manager.
• Installation and maintenance of Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS), navigational equipments such as Radar, Radios, AIS, Microwave links etc.
• Manning of control centres in shift system for preventive / breakdown maintenance for VTMS system.
• Ready for frequent Travel to various sites for installation, preventive / breakdown maintenance.
• Installation and maintenance of IT networks, servers, VHF, microwave links, GPS and AIS.
• Testing, trouble shooting of electronic units / modules / PCBs post repairs in test jigs / live system.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety procedures, rules, and regulations both on client site and within Wartsila office premises.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Liaising with customers & vendors for smooth delivery, installation, integration and handing over of contracted services.
• Maintaining the integrity with company & client intellectual property.

Qualification And Experience:-

• BE / BTech/ Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
• Proficient in Networking (LAN Switch , Router/Firewall programming, creating VPN, Secure data tunnelling, cyber security etc) – CCNA Certification is preferrable.
• Self-motivated
• Problem solving skills
• Proficient in MS office.
• Proficient in MS Visio and AutoCAD (added benefit).
• Fluent in English (spoken & written).
• Valid 4xWheel driving license in Maharashtra/India – preferable.
