Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Support/ Assist the Hyderabad Field Office in managing the Better Cotton Initiative projects and Sustainable Land Management projects.
  • Support field partners/ Farmer Producer Organizations/ field organizers in identifying the key sustainable issues in field, prepare the annual training plans and field activity plans.
  • Prepare the capacity building plans for Producer Unit Managers (block level field staff) and Field facilitators (Village level field staff) and monitor the staff training programmes by coordinating with the field partners.
  • Support field partners in collection of data/ information such as farmers field profiles, Adoption rate of Better Management practices and project result indicators.
  • Conduct Support field visits to guide the field partners in implementing the BCI protocols/ Sustainable Land Management project targets.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and review meetings / visits for the stakeholders, if necessary.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in preparing the meeting minutes, technical progress reports and update the progress to Sustainable Agriculture team periodically.
  • Coordinate with BCI-India in cascading the trainings and updating the information as per the requirement of Sustainable Standards of BCI.
  • Carry out any other responsibilities related to execution of activities of the Sustainable Agriculture team as mutually agreed.

Qualifications and Experience:-

  • Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from ICAR nominated Universities with 5 year of working experience or Master’s degree in Agriculture / Environment science/ Rural Management or equivalent from any reputed institution with 3 years of working experience.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of field level experience in implementation of agriculture management projects.

  • Documentation and report writing abilities.
  • Language and computer (Microsoft Office package) proficiency in English and Hindi.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively, multitask and to meet deadlines.
