Job Description

The Project Industrialization Leader (PIL) is the main Industrialisation counterpart for offer creation or evolution projects (for products and solutions)

PIL missions are:

    1. Make surethe industrial recommendations are met within the products’ design:
    • Analyse the marketing data (volume, location, …) and investigate various industrial scenarios (Supply Chain) to answer
    • Steer product conception choices to solutions which can be industrialized, from preliminary draft to the whole project extent, all the while focusing on achievability (manufacturability, controllability, assembly feasibility, adjustability, testability) and on product’s cost optimization.
    • Build the definitive architecture process file with the retained global supply chain and define cost estimation of the final product in order to validate the project’s profitability.
  1. Ensure the operational set up  of a comprehensive and robust industrial plan while meeting different requirements such as Quality/costs/deadlines objectives and project’s positioning in accordance with Industrial Strategy and Corporate fundamentals regarding Industrial Policy, SPS (Schneider Production System) and SC&L (Supply Chain & Logistics) :
    • Share industrial performance objectives and directions with the involved units (key performance indicators – KPI)
    • Coordinate the progress of the whole industrial operation of his project (Global Supply Chain =  production equipments  &  logistics related) as well as the industrial transfer of this project to involved internal as well as external production units.
    • Build the Industrial Project File and transfer it to internal production units involved at the beginning of mass production.
    • Obtain the industrial funding for the project and place under control all expenditures in relation with Industrialization and production costs in order to optimize the Project’s profitability (Time-To-Profit).
  1. Manage and coordinate a team of Industrialization specialists and other resources (plants, specialists, SC&L, …) necessary to the industrial part of the project:
    • Identify and validate the needs in Industrialization specialists
    • Supervise the Industrialization specialists who report to him inside the project team and coordinate the intervention of other resources (plants, specialists, SC&L,…)
    • Functionally report to the Project Manager for the industrialization job

Qualifications:-
Requirements:-

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production (methods, production, maintenance) in logistics (CDI, CDL), or in new products industrialization (for example development of manual or automatic assembly means)
  • Strong knowledge of the 40 principles of SPS and Lean methodology
  • Good analytical, organizational and managerial skills (objective driven and systematical use of action plan)
  • A 6 Sigma training followed by one or several projects would be a plus
  • Solid managerial skills in project mode required (capacity to functionally steer/federate a team)
  •  Comfortable in communication in an international environment (mainly in English) and with regards to cultural differences
  • Ability to synthesize and  to adjust  to required level
  • Available for travels essential to the project (national and abroad)
