Engagement of Project Engineers for Water Front Support Locations

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navratna Company and India’s Premier Professional Electronics Company under Ministry of Defence, requires the following personnel for its Hyderabad Unit on temporary basis as Project Engineer-I for deployment at Water Front Support Locations.

* Relaxation of upper age limit: The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC, ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates by 3 years. For candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PwBD) category having minimum 40% disability will get 10 (ten) years relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to SC/ST/OBC mentioned above.


a.   Project Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of THREE years which may be extended up to maximum of FOUR years (including initial period of three years) based on project  requirement  and  individual  performance. Candidates  will  be  paid  aconsolidated remuneration of Rs.40,000/-, Rs.45,000/-, Rs.50,000/- and Rs.55,000/- per month for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year and 4th year of contract respectively.

b.   As this requirement is for above mentioned customer locations, to compensate the hardship faced by Engineers at the aforesaid locations they will be paid 10% of consolidated remuneration as Area Allowance per month.

c.   In addition to above a consolidated amount of 12,000/- per year will be paid towards  expenses  like  medical  insurance  premium,  attire  allowance,  stitching charges,  footwear  allowance  etc.  The  additional  amount  shall  be  paid  in  two installments. First installment will be processed in the first month’s salary after joining and the second installment will be paid after completion of 6 months from the date of joining.

d.   Apart from the remuneration and benefits indicated above Project Engineers will not be eligible for any other benefits / facilities.

B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunications / Telecommunication from a recognised University / Institute.


Project Engineer – I (Mechanical)  


B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) in Mechanical discipline from a recognised University / Institute.


a.   Candidates should have obtained a minimum percentage of 55% & above marks in the Qualifying  Examination  (aggregate  of  all  semesters  /  years)  in  the  indicated qualification for General, EWS and OBC and Pass Class for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

b.   Candidates having indicated qualification in other disciplines / specializations other than the qualifications indicated above, will not be considered.

c.   Candidates must possess all years / semesters mark sheets and Degree (In case of CGPA grading, Conversion certificate to substantiate the claim shall be produced by the candidate during summarily rejected. document verification, failing which the candidature will be summarily rejected.

d.   In case there is no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree as required in the minimum essential educational qualification, candidates are required to submit a certificate at the time of interview from their University/Institute with a clear mention of their specialization in the qualifying degree.

e.   Candidates having part-time or correspondence course in prescribed qualification are not eligible.


  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience is mandatory to apply for the post of Project Engineer–I.
  • Please note the following:
    • Academic / Teaching experience/ Research work / any Training which is not part of work will not be considered as experience.
    • One year completed apprenticeship training will be considered as experience.
    • The Cutoff date for deciding the maximum permissible age and experience (Post Qualification Experience) shall be as 08.2023. In order to compute post qualification experience starting from the month immediately succeeding the month  of   final   examination   in   which   candidate   acquired   the   essential educational qualification shall be considered. Wherever specific relevant experience is prescribed, Experience certificates / Document issued by the employer clearly indicating the specific area of experience should be enclosed.
  • Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.

The nature of job involves providing on site Repair, Tuning & Adjustment, Calibration and Maintenance of Ship borne Electronic systems Supplied by Bharat Electronics Limited to Indian Navy at Naval Bases.


  • Two year experience in repair (Module Level) and Maintenance of Electronic Systems or similar Equipment.
  • Carry out Feasibility study along with other Naval Agencies for installation of Electronic systems onboard IN Ships and make reports.
  • Installation of BEL-HYD supplied systems onboard IN ships along with Naval Agencies.
  • Verification of Power Supply requirements for BEL-HYD systems and carry out Setting To Work (STW).
  • Testing and tuning of the systems onboard and prove the performance systems to Naval Agencies.
  • Maintenance of the BEL-HYD supplied systems at respective locations through AMCs and Repair Orders.
  • Preparation of Work Done Reports and Work Completion respective Naval Authorities as per AMC/ Reports from the respective Naval Authorities as per AMC/ RO.
  • Test and trouble shoot the LRUs as per the Maintenance If any PCBs / RF component found faulty same to be replaced with the spare item.
  • Program the PCB with the system software / firmware if required.
  • Carry out repairs as per the Technical / Maintenance manuals PCBs, Critical MW components, Detector logarithmic video amplifier (DLVA), FER, Antenna & Antenna Arrays, RF Cables, Power supply Units.
  • Refit the tested LRU/module into the respective rack/ Antenna with all accessories.
  • Preparation of defect rectification/Failure Analysis Reports and Record keeping.
  • Co-ordinate with Navy and attend to meetings, PNCs & Joint Inspection Reports.


  • Two year experience in Installation, Repair (Module Level) Mechanical Systems or similar Equipment.and Maintenance of Mechanical Systems or similar Equipment.
  • Carry out Feasibility study along with other Naval Agencies for installation of Electronic systems onboard IN Ships and make reports.
  • Installation of BEL-HYD supplied systems onboard IN ships along with Naval Agencies.
  • Carryout structural Analysis, vibration and thermal analysis.
  • Design of test jigs and fixtures for safe and effective working of BEL-HYD Engineers onboard ships as required for the systems.
  • Installation activities of systems / sub-system units onboard IN ships
  • Laying and Routing of the system interconnecting cables onboard ships along with respective Naval Agencies.
  • Preparatory activities and test setups for presenting systems to Naval Agencies. Regular Maintenance of systems (Servo units, chiller units and other mechanical systems) under AMCs and Repair Orders
  • Preparation of defect rectification/Failure Analysis Reports.
  • Co-ordinate with Navy and attend to meetings, PNCs & Joint Inspection Reports.

Rs.472/- (Rs.400/- + 18% GST) Candidates belonging to PWD, SC

and ST categories are exempted from payment of application fee.

    • The application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect (through online through SBI Branch).
    • Candidates are requested to read the details and screenshots for making the payment.
    • Candidates can also make the payment by approaching SBI Branch. You have to select SBI branch in the payment option and download pre-printed challan generated through SBI Collect and deposit the application fee (as applicable) plus applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official.
  • Candidates may go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before remitting Application Fee and submitting the application.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded for whatever reason.


  • Only Indian nationals need to apply.
  • One candidate can apply for only ONE POST in one application.
