  • Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to enclose copy of necessary certificate(s) along with application and submit the original at the time of interview and at any subsequent stage of the process for verification.
  • The EWS / Caste / Disability Certificate should be strictly in the format available on the BEL website failing which, candidates will be considered under ‘General’ category, provided they are otherwise meeting all other criteria stipulated for General Candidates.

3.    TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT & REMUNERATION:-

  • Project Engineer will be engaged initially for a period of THREE years which may be extended up to maximum of ONE year (Maximum tenure of 4 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration per month of  40,000/-,  Rs.45,000/-, Rs.50,000/-  and Rs.55,000/- for  the 1st  , 2nd  , 3rd and 4th year of contract respectively.
  • In addition to the consolidated remuneration indicated above, consolidated amount of Rs.12,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses like insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance in two equal installments. First installment will be processed in the first month’s  salary  after joining  and the  second  installment will be paid after completion of 6 months from the date of joining.

4.    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-

  • Candidates should have obtained 55% & above in the indicated qualification for General, OBC and EWS candidates and Pass Class for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
  • Candidate must possess all years / semester marks sheet and degree certificate. (In case of CGPA grading, conversion certificate to substantiate the claim shall be attached and has to be indicated in the application form.
  • In case there is no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree as required in the minimum essential educational qualification, candidates required to submit a certificate at the time of interview from their University/Institute  with a clear mention to their specialization in the qualifying degree.
  • Candidates having part-time or correspondence course in indicated qualification are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates having indicated qualification with other disciplines will not be considered.

5.    POST QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE (AS ON 01.03.2022):-

Candidates with minimum of 2 years and above relevant post-qualification industrial experience will be eligible to apply for the post of Project Engineer.

5.1    Job description for the Project Engineer – I, Post Code: PE-I (D&E-SM) is as follows:

    • Development and testing of various Hardware modules and Software modules.
    • PCB level /sub system level / system level testing & troubleshooting.
    • Support for On-board activities at Naval Dockyards.
    • Preparing AutoCAD (2D) and 3D drawings and release for production.
    • Preparation of Technical and Engineering Documents

5.2    Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.

  • For Project Engineer – I, Post Code: PE-I (D&E-SM)

A)    ELECTRONICS:-

  • Knowledge of Electronics system design and handling of Electronic testing tools.
  • Knowledge in Digital Signal Processing.
  • Knowledge in C/C++ Programming & VHDL Programming.
  • Experience in PCB level / sub system level /system level testing & troubleshooting.
  • Skills for Technical and Engineering Documentation.
  • Knowledge in Control System designs.
  • Knowledge of network tools / Socket Programming / MATLAB.

B)    MECHANICAL:-

  • Knowledge in basic mechanical engineering design principle and familiarity with machine design data books.
  • Hands on experience in Auto CAD.
  • Experience in 3D modeling of mechanical systems using solid works.
  • Familiarity with generation of assembly drawings, part drawings and general drafting formalities and procedure.
  • Skills for Technical & Engineering documentation.
  • Experience in finite element analysis using ANSYS, ABAQUS etc.

5.3    Please note the following:

  • Candidate applying for Project Engineer, should possess the requisite number of years and hands-on post qualification experience as mentioned at point 5.2.
  • One year completed Apprenticeship training will be considered as experience.
  • The Cut-off date for deciding the maximum permissible age and experience (Post Qualification Experience) shall be as 03.2022. In order to compute post qualification experience starting from  the  month  immediately  succeeding  the month of final examination in which candidate acquire the essential educational qualification shall  be  considered. Wherever specific relevant experience is prescribed, Experience certificates / Document issued by the employer clearly indicating the specific area of experience should be enclosed.
  • Academic / Teaching experience / Research work/ will not be considered as relevant work experience.
  • Candidate should possess Experience certificates/Documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment and post held.
  • Candidates are required to enclose a separate write up describing the relevant post qualification experience gained/held by them.

6.    MODE OF SELECTION:-

  • Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement r.t. Qualification and Experience will be accepted.
  • A merit list will be prepared, based on the aggregate percentage obtained in BE/B Tech/ B Engg -4 years course and relevant work experience will be allotted weightage as indicated below:
