Project Engineer-Automation, Metals

This is a Project Engineer-Automation, Metals role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be associated with Process Industries operations/development team within INOPC-PA that is responsible for executing and delivering Automation projects for Metals sector across the globe. As a project lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering entire project scope for process industry customers.

Responsibilities:-

• Carry out independently activities of basic and detailed engineering of automation systems including hardware and application programming.
• Being responsible for technical deliveries in engineering, testing & commissioning of the systems.
• Ensure the project deliverables are met in terms of application quality performance & budget, while working with a team of automation project engineers.
• Act as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments.
• Share best practice across different projects and disciplines.
• Lead, supervise, and coordinates teams in all engineering disciplines.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• B. Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.
• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in automation systems, application programming & independently handling areas of projects end-to-end.
• Should have through knowledge in Industrial Automation systems, drives & motors.
• Should have experience in handling automation projects comprising of engineering & commissioning for Steel industry specifically on secondary side of steel production- Hot and cold mills.
• Should have experience in application programming for Metals process.
• Should have through field experience in installation & commissioning of automation systems for processes like cold rolling mills/hot strip mills/wire rod & bar mills/primary metals/Paper Machines/Pulp Mills/tube mills etc.
• Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components.
• Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC’s, Server components.
• Knowledge of ABB systems is added advantage.
