Production Test Engineer

The business unit, part of GE Vernova, works with utilities and developers to create Solar and Storage Solutions power networks, which combine renewable sources, efficient energy storage and software to create a more predictable supply of renewable electrons.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

The Manufacturing Testing specialist needs to strictly adhere the Hybrid Solutions Solar Line FLEX Inverter, FLEX BESS(RSU) routine test procedures and execute functional testing requirements of Solar Inverter, Reservoir Inverter unit, Solar power station and Reservoir storge unit 100% to meet end Customer Quality, Technical and functional requirements of product. The Manufacturing Testing Specialist will also make sure company’s Quality policy and EHS requirements.

Job Description:-

• Drive improved product Quality by identifying manufacturing issues and developing better test system cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production
• Candidate able to troubleshoot Inverter and Power Station testing technical bug by himself by applying his technical expertise and product Knowledge
• Manufacturing testing for better productivity and quality on day today basis.
• Participate in early focus on manufacturability improve the product Quality and prevent testing failure early processing stages.
• Drive manufacturing testing excellence for zero escaping defect.
• Prepare routine test reports given Engineering report template.
• Communicating the test design requirements to Engineering for test improvements
• Ensure proper dismantling of Inverter by understanding LOTO process as per EHS requirements
• Ensure Instruments & Measuring devices are Calibrated
• Updating the metrics of testing to Management
• Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment
• Managing Customer FAT
• Develop test plans for Inverters and Electrical components
• To ensure test rig are running at full capacity
• Write test Procedures and reports to capture lessons learned and share with component design engineers
• Align test methods with respective to IEC and UL standards

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Electrical / Electronics with a minimum 4-6 years of experience in Inverter testing).
• Knowledge of Inverter Manufacturing Functions and Exposure to Quality, Engineering, Lean &Testing or Engineering processes
• Knowledge of Inverter Manufacturing Functions and Exposure to Quality, Engineering, Lean &Testing or Engineering processes
• Good analyzing skills and systematic approach to narrow down the technical issue
• English proficiency read and write.
• Strong Electrical knowledge
