Principal Electrical HV Engineer (Rail)

We are now seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Rail) to join our talented team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical design professional who is enthusiastic, driven and eager to work on complex and high-profile rail infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:-

• Lead and deliver electrical design packages with a focus on low voltage (LV) systems and high voltage (HV) substation design.
• Ensure accuracy in drawings and calculations, compliance with relevant international codes and standards, and that designs are safe, economic and constructible.
• Collaborate with global project teams, maintaining close coordination with our UK-based colleagues and clients.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Contribute to project delivery, design assessments and provide construction support when required.
• Engage in continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications and Experience:-

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers, UK).
• 12+ Years of experience
• Proven experience in LV and HV electrical design, preferably on Rail infrastructure projects .
• Strong understanding of international design standards (such as Network Rail, BS, IEC, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
• Experience working with UK clients or on international projects is a strong advantage.
• Ability to manage design packages independently and contribute to project planning and execution.
