Job Description

The PMO Manager is a global role, where you will be central in developing, implementing, and operating an efficient & effective governance and PMO eco-system that enables Manufacturing & Industrial Strategy (M&IS) to meet its objectives.
You will work deeply across M&IS to ensure full implementation and operation of our eco-system. You will provide relevant capabilities and coaching to ensure that it is part of the department’s rhythms and culture. You will continually seek opportunities to improve the mechanics of the eco-system and ensure standardization by using various Lean principles. You will be central in the development of the M&IS operational excellence.

Job Description:-

In this role, you will analyze data/trends/information to ensure on-track situation within departments. Provide insights/feedbacks for departments to develop their capabilities to ensure effective recovery plans. Additionally seek opportunities to further accelerate departments’ performance improvement.

Active involvement in designing, standardizing, and implementing a project management training/coaching program is essential to increase departments capabilities and its application.

You must expect up to 33% travel activity a year in this role, visiting our manufacturing sites/offices.

  • Continuously develop domain expertise in Governance and PMO

To this end, we expect you will:-

  • Drive a culture of safety, integrity leading by example.
  • Design, develop, and standardize our M&IS Governance and PMO eco-system. Drive implementation within departments, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and standardize an M&IS strategic annual business planning process. Drive/promote the development of the detailed tactical departmental roadmap/plans.
  • Drive compliance to the eco-system standards through coaching and training of stakeholders
  • Lead the definition and implementation of agreed data requirements as well as governance by ensuring relevant business systems are accurately updated
  • Drive the preparation of departmental performance analysis by providing standard reporting and insights to facilitate decision making, supporting execution of action plans as well as conduct departmental reviews
  • Identify (using VOC, VSM etc.) and apply Lean techniques/thinking to continuously improve processes enabling higher performance
  • Lead and drive development and delivery of specific training/coaching on project management or relevant topics to various M&IS stakeholders to enable greater performance continually self-develop as a domain expert for Governance and Project management

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Minimum Bachelor’s in STEM, Management or equivalent University degree
  • 3-5 years of experience from a Project Management environment – Project management qualification from recognized institute (e.g., PMI) is preferred/ considered an advantage
  • Preferably Lean qualification from recognized institute
  • Preferably Coaching qualification from recognized institute

Desired Characteristics:-

  • 10 years industrial experience in a manufacturing context, preferable Energy business/wind
  • Coaching and facilitation experience across a variety of stakeholders
  • Understand and apply change management principles is preferable
  • Well-developed commercial and financial understanding
  • Pragmatic, proactive and self-starter
  • Proven ability to solve business problem using relevant techniques
  • Flexible in managing priorities in dynamic environment with sense of urgency
  • Application of pragmatic, structured, logical, and analytical mindset with focus on outcomes
  • Navigate within a matrix organization
  • Strong English language (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Flexible and able to build positive relationships and partnerships across the organization
  • International experience and cultural awareness (Americas, Europe, India, and China)
  • Continually exhibit Core GE behaviours
