Job Description

  • Be a constructive team member for a global control system engineering team working for domestic and overseas customer.
  • Strong intrest in rotating machinery, electrical drive systems, electronics, fieldbus communication and thermodynamics in pumps.
  • PLC control system programming experience using various programming languages
  • OOP design and application plus support procedural scripts and legacy solutions [C, C++, Java, Python, .Net].
  • Excellent programming work experience on various PLC platforms.
  • Worked with OOP (Object Oriented Programming method)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Control System design & related aftermarket onsite
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
  • Experience of digital/analogue IO, Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC UA, EtherNET/IP, EtherCAT etc.
  • Experience of working in an agile Scrum environment
  • Must have independently handled onsite support activities like FAT/SAT/Commissioning for PLC based control System.
  • Must be ready to trave onsite as and when required.
  • Responsible for answering technical queries coming from 1st Tier Technical Support in customer centers, and other questions (via TechConnect) in an efficient and timely way.
  • Worldwide collaboration with external and internal software engineers/developers, NPI teams in PC, technology departments in equipment divisions, Engineering, Academy, Operations.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • BE / B Tech / M Tech. in Electrical Engineering / Computer / Instrumentation engineering / Electronics/ E & TC with 2 to 4 years of designing, programming and testing/simulation / onsite commissioning, Remote technical support on different PLCs.

Software skill requirement:

Must be proficient in:-

  • FAT, SAT, onsite commissioning of control systems
  • Various PLC programming languages
  • Fluent in English. German/Mandarin would be an advantage
  • Good communication skill and learning ability.

Preferred to have good knowledge of:-

  • AutoCAD Electrical / Eplan
  • Excel/ VBA
  • MS office

Skills:-

  • Basic knowledge Field instruments like sensors, transmitters, controller (embedded and/or other PLCs), valves etc
  • Programming experience of other PLCs like Siemens/ Rockwell/Beckhoff/ Schneider etc as well as drafting software like AutoCad, Eplan.
  • Development of various control system documents like System architecture, Logic diagram, Flow chart, I/O List, Bill of material, etc using AutoCad Electrical or Eplan
  • Overseas travel experience and/ or comfortable with long term domestic & overseas travel
  • Be a constructive team member for a global control system engineering team working for domestic and overseas customer.
  •  Co-ordination with client / consultants and suppliers for technical discussions, document approval process.
  •  Upon requirement, should be able to co-ordinate and manage with Juniors to meet customer’s engineering support requirement.
  • Continuously innovate the ideas to improve the Quality aspect of engineering & Programming.
