O&M Manager (Solar and Wind Turbine)

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of solar, wind turbine and BESS installations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing outsourced renewable energy O&M jobs, particularly in managing both solar and wind assets. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, battery storage systems, power electronics, and a proven track record in managing O&M activities effectively.

Responsibilities:-

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities of solar and wind turbine sites.
• Oversee O&M contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics and KPIs to optimize plant efficiency and uptime.
• Lead contract management and execution processes, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
• Effectively manage vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships.
• Implement and refine preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.
• Troubleshoot and identify technical issues promptly to ensure quick resolutions and uninterrupted plant operations.

• 10-15 years of experience in operations and maintenance within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and wind technologies.
• Strong knowledge of battery storage systems, power electronics, HV & LV distribution system and related technologies.
• Proven experience in managing O&M activities across multiple locations or large-scale projects.
• Solid understanding of contract management, including negotiation, execution, and compliance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions to maintain plant uptime and resolve technical issues.
• Experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental standards in O&M practices.

Preferred Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree (B. E. or B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional certifications related to renewable energy and O&M (e.g., PMP, CMRP) will be added advantage.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other monitoring tools for renewable energy plants.
