Offshore Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team, giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure projects in India.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

• Doing concept and detail design of offshore steel structures, with special emphasis on offshore wind.
• Preparing high-quality design basis, analytical models, calculations, reports, specifications etc.
• Check of design calculations and 3d models and drawings done by other engineers in compliance with COWI QA/QC procedures.
• Assisting in the development of conceptual design and producing engineering designs and details in accordance with project requirements.
• Developing design methodologies and contributing to knowledge sharing. Contribute to COWI's technical development in competence groups.
• Leading a team of project engineers and motivating them for project success.
• Communicating the progress with PM's and attending the Client meetings if required.
• Working towards implementation of sustainable and parametric designs.
• Assisting in providing technical inputs for proposals

Qualification And Experience:-

• A Masters or PhD in structural/offshore engineering
• More than 8-12 years of specific experience with steel design for offshore wind and/ or offshore oil & gas projects
• Experience with structural dynamics, numerical analysis (permanent and temporary phases) and load assessments for jacket/monopile structures.
• Knowledge of local FEM analysis for joints, grouted connections, transition-piece etc will be added advantage.
• Thorough knowledge in DNVGL, Euro, American and Norwegian code of practices
• Proficiency in structural Analysis software like SESAM, SACS, Abaqus, Ansys, ROBOT, SAP etc.
• Adequate knowledge of BIM modelling / visualisation software like Tekla, Revit , Navisworks, etc.
• Knowledge of floating offshore structure foundations such as TLPs, Semi-submersibles etc will be an added advantage.
