As part of your daily responsibilities, you will:
- Serve as a role model within the team, embodying values, culture, and behavior while establishing standards for others to follow.
- Engage with key stakeholders such as Line Managers, Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and Specialists to expand the team's workload.
- Mentor and coach individual team members on both their professional and personal growth.
- Participate in technical discussions related to projects as needed.
- Manage resource allocation among projects by assembling appropriate project teams to support project success and enhance team members' personal development.
- Oversee all organizational and personnel matters for the team, including recruitment activities.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to formulate strategies for team competence development aligning with COWI's strategic objectives.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant codes, standards, and regulations, delivering top-notch MEP design solutions on schedule and within defined parameters.
- Supervise project budgets and timelines, leading business growth endeavors like proposal development, project bids, and client presentations.
- Establish and execute departmental strategies, objectives, and goals; conduct routine performance evaluations; address staffing needs within the department; and facilitate professional growth opportunities for team members.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and uphold strong client relationships to guarantee high satisfaction levels with MEP services.
Qualification and Experience:-
- Be a candidate with a Bachelor's/master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, proficient in detailed design projects for MEP systems in metro, rail, and underground infrastructure projects.
- Possess industry experience in quality reviews, leading tenders, and conducting feasibility/concept studies, along with expertise in MEP systems and knowledge of IEC, BS, CIBSE, and NFPA standards.
- Have previous experience collaborating with diverse teams, with additional preference given to those with work experience in North America, Scandinavia, and/or the UK markets.
- Have strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be self-driven, motivated to make a positive impact, experienced in people management, and capable of influencing, developing, and motivating team members.
