Medium Voltage Drives Testing Engineer

Job Description

You will be working as Medium Voltage Drives Testing Engineer and will be part of Motion Business Area for System Drives Division based in Bangalore North, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for routine testing of various families of variable speed drives and generating test reports.

Responsibilities:-

  • Offering drives for customer inspection/witness by consultant in line with approved quality assurance plan
  • Maintaining periodically and calibrating instruments/equipment in test field
  • Coordinating with factory for monthly planning of testing activities in line with revenue/production plan
  • Coordinating with engineering for revisions and document updates
  • Participating in special testing requirements at other factories or customer sites
  • Testing of various families of variable speed drives

Qualification and Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering/testing of variable speed drives, and associated IEC/IS standards and HW & SW tools
  • Good comprehension of Lean six sigma
  • Familiarity with operation and maintenance of circuit breakers, transformers, and motors
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism
