Job Description

Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:-

  • Demonstrated experience in developing new product/subsystem starting from concept to production release and basic functional testing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the design of sheet metal/weldment and machined subsystems along with superior understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent exposure or proficiency on mechanical OEM components selection based on first principles.
  • Proficiency in DFMEA, Thermal hand calculations and structural simulations required to validate/optimize the electromechanical system designs and also to facilitate selection of heat sinks, cooling systems like fans, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency on application of detail design applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
  • Proficiency in advanced GD&T capabilities in manufacturing drawings.

Minimum Qualifications:-

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; or a Master’s degree with 6-8 years’ relevant experience; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience.

Desirable Skill:-

  • Hands on experience in performing thermal characterization of enclosure.
  • Exposure to Semi-conductor industry related Engineering activities.
  • Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using NX or Creo.
  • Executed Engineering Change Management.

Software Tools:-

  • Preferred: CAD (NX)
  • Other: Creo
