Job Description

Your New Role:- 

Reporting to the Chief of Unit Knowledge Management & Capacity Building or a designated officer, you will identify market opportunities for Soler, keep track of the latest developments within the solar/RE sector and advise the ISA leadership to take proactive steps in the implementation a future-fit business-aligned organisation.

Your Broader Scope of Work (but not limited to)

  • Provide advice and guidance on market design and policy
  • Conduct evidence-based analysis on institutional mechanisms for advancing development of markets for renewables and inform institutional design using international best practices across emerging
  • Perform detailed analysis and report on all aspects of market-based mechanisms for renewable energy, advancing markets for solar in emerging economies
  • Develop market enablers and blueprint for necessary infrastructural and institutional mechanisms to enable market transformation and mobilization of scalable finance towards renewable energy and
  • Track relevant policy and structural changes in key markets on renewable energy and incorporate this knowledge into innovative mechanisms to enable finance, through innovative instruments and market-based
  • Undertake regular global scan(s) of the RE landscape and advice the ISA leadership on appropriate program delivery and
  • Support coordination and engagement with officials across relevant Indian ministries to enable market strengthening and advance creation of a conducive policy
  • Establish goals and objectives to reach ISA member states through appropriate channels (digital and traditional).
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through marketing appropriate channels
  • Prepare high level summaries, presentations, and
  • Provide technical assistance to strategic planning and capacity development components of the project
  • Performing other duties when

Education:-

  • Masters’ degree in Economics, Environment and Resource Management,
  • International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field.

What you will need to succeed:-

  • At least 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a similar role or in Market- Based Mechanisms, Market Transformation and Enabling access to Climate
  • Experience of working in international organizations like MDBs, CSOs
  • Experience presenting complex data and mechanisms to a non-technical
  • Experience in contract management, contract handling, management of relational databases, partnerships and stakeholder
  • Demonstrated skills in working in a fast-paced short-decision time frame
  • Demonstrated understanding of climate finance and market

Languages & IT skills:-

  • The role demands substantial writing and verbal communications skills. As English is the official and working language of the Organization, excellent command of both written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other languages (i.e., French, Spanish and Arabic) would be an advantage. The role demands substantial writing and verbal communications skills.

  • Excellent skills in Outlook, MS Office products, and experience with the various ERP systems required to manage this role is required.
