Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Responsible for Parts and process Qualification as per PMP / PEP process
  • Parts qualification shall include stamping, molding and machining process
  • Process Qualification shall includes assembly benches, test benches and the complete manufacturing line.
  • Ensure strong measurability and manufacturability study done at development stage.
  • Responsible for supplier regular audits/supplier assessment and identifying gap at supplier place and also responsible for supplier training.
  • Understand VOC and ensure product functionality understood properly and build strong specification for machine building process and for part development process.
  • Ensure parts qualification will be done as per PPEP process
  • Responsible for identifying Fixtures and gauges in project
  • Ensure good Quality of parts reach plant at development stage and solve all parts related issues thru G8D
  • Effectively interact with PQL and Design team to ensure good quality product reach to customer and also keep good relationship with Internal and External customer.
  • Ensure strong FMEA built for the product/assembly lines and ensure updated each stages of PMP process
  • Ensure  Implementation of POKA YOKE to attain mistake proofing in process
  • Ensure strong MQP (Manufacturing Qualification plan) built for assembly lines & test benches and Ensure Qualification has been done based on MQP
  • Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions at supplier plant and internally
  • Analyze evaluation results, implement action plans and measure efficiency.
  • Responsible for close all the action plan and conduct root cause analysis to solve all product related issues (Using Minitab)
  • Regular meeting with project team and highlight project risk at each stage gate.
  • Preparing clear explanatory documents such as Global Synthesis sheet ,Qualification status report,
  • Responsible for conducting pilot run at plant/supplier end, ensure MDR and scrap level within Quality target and Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. (Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters)

Qualifications:-
Skills & knowledge for the position:-

  • Exhibit good leadership skill in problem solving, judgment, and decision making. Thorough working knowledge in Quality systems, methods and practices (GD&T, QC tools, DOE, PPEP ,G8D, CAM C, PFMEA, Control Plans, Lean Manufacturing concepts, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Experience in measuring Molded parts, metal stamping, machined components
  • Proficient in spreadsheet (report formatting, graphing, formula a calculation generation), database, presentation and project management tools (i.e. Excel, Minitab, etc). Strong knowledge on SPC and Minitab tools
  • Strong knowledge on main metrology instruments (like CMM, Smart scope, Profile projector, Roughness tester, Vernier, Gauges, Height measurement system, hardness tester, load tester, coating thickness tester…)
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Knowledge in six sigma is an added advantage

Required Educational Background & Professional Experience:-

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering 4 to 6 years experience in Parts & Process qualification
  • Diploma in Mechanical/GTTC/NTTF + 6 year experience in Parts & Process qualification
