This exciting role offers opportunity to:-

  • The primary responsibility is to provide leadership for ePowertrain & Power Transfer Systems (PTS) CoE portfolio growth while working in area of New Product Introduction (NPI), New Technology Introduction (NTI) Cost out (VA) and Sustaining Engineering (SE). Incumbent is expected to partner with Product Strategy, Sales & Marketing and Program Management leaders to achieve division’s strategic objectives for growth projects. Candidate must provide technical guidance, work supervision and effective coaching to develop team members. He / She needs to meaningfully engage team towards meeting organizational objectives along with ensuring proper and timely communication flow down. Incumbent should establish positive working relations with direct team, peer group, stakeholders and support functions to facilitate open dialogue and trust building across the organization.
  • Support overall global strategy for processes and capabilities to deliver quality products & services on-time in line with the business objectives
  • Work as core group member to provide data based / experiential insights to product strategy, product council and leadership team about competitive landscape, OEM approaches to develop next generation technologies and recommend focus area for ePowertrain & PTS CoE portfolio.
  • Participate in external conference, relevant consortium, professional bodies to understand market insights, regulatory trends and to represent ePowertrain product portfolio
  • Performs quality checks to ensure design meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements. Provide technical guidance to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product. Resource allocation & ensure projects are completed within the required time frame.
  • Promote and maintains a professional work environment, drive analysis first culture and DfX deployment for flawless execution. Maintain effective communication both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments.
  • Manages and develops people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent(s) for the organization
  • Initiate & implement process improvements to support the Eaton Business System

Qualifications And Experiences:-

  • Bachelor / master’s in mechanical engineering, with demonstrated experience in technical engineering organization.
  • 12+ years of experience with relevant engineering organization.
  • Proven experience in new product introduction for Vehicle sub-systems.
  • Exposure to Powertrain product development & manufacturing.
  • Experience in Design of Six Sigma and Design for Reliability.
  • Exposure to Design for Environment, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly.
  • Ability to prepare & execute strategy for business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling Powertrain customer & applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing & developing org / tech leads.
  • Working experience with cross functional and global team is preferred.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
