Job Description

To be successful as a Business Engagement manager, you should be detail-oriented, working closely with Stakeholders and manage Supplier Performance. Ultimately, an outstanding BE Manager would be the person, who closely works with Business to understand their needs, challenges, issues, find out supplier in industry who can meet their needs, and setup proper engagement model. They should be able to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Business Engagement Manager responsible for driving the Contingent Workforce strategy for one or more business functions:

  • Partner with Compliance to develop the total Talent strategy aligned to business goals
  • Supplier and Location Strategy to meet the function Objectives
  • Supplier Development to meet the long term outside services and talent requirements of the BU
  • Drive Business Value by optimizing Engagement and Business models with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Provide Business Insights on Market trends, benchmarking to aid decision making
  • Maintain a competitive understanding of best practices and emerging trends to recommend enhancements to the program
  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with various Business Functions
  • Understand their issues, challenges in current supply base and propose alternate solutions and vendors
  • Drive change management with Functions to adopt to new engagement model and labor compliance
  • Develop Preferred Supplier Program and Drive adaption
  • Understand Spend analytics and drive cost savings/avoidance
  • Deep Knowledge of various Contingent Workforce engagement models like Staff Augmentation, Outcome based, Capacity based
  • Knowledge of running RFX’s,
  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  • Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
  • Conducting research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
  • Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
  • Conducting interviews with new vendors and informing approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them. 

Skills and Experience:-

  • 15+ Years of Work Experience with 10+ years of Strategy and Planning and Business Operations experience
  • Domain experience in one of or more functional areas is required – Semiconductor Equipment, Materials Science, Information Technology, Data and Analytics, Customer Experience
  • Deep understanding of global employment complexity and the ability to design programs that are compliant, culturally-appropriate and scalable
  • Global Experience
