Job Description

Main tasks & responsibilities:-

  • Identify and Pursue business opportunities in Smart Field segments like Railways, Mining and Cement including MRO
  • Mapping of the players in these segments across and executing a go-to-market strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, public sector undertakings (PSUs), private sector undertakings, EPC contractors, engineering consultants etc.
  • Collaboration with the sales team and channel partners to develop business in these segments.
  • Appointment or development of channel partners or liasoning agents specifically focused on these segments.
  • Monitor government tenders, RFPs, and rail-related procurement processes to lead proposal development and bidding.
  • Develop market entry and expansion strategies tailored to these segments
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting these sectors.
  • Participation and representation in various exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars related to these sectors.
  • Develop marketing material and competency of sales team l focused on these segment
  • In this position you will have to communicate with all internal departments and your external relations would consist of Customers, Organizations and Associations. inclined

Qualification and Experience:-

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably in equipment sales to above industry segments or organizations
  • Familiarity with government tenders (e.g., RFP, RFQ processes)
  • Dynamic person willing to travel extensively and put in efforts for business growth.
  • Adequate knowledge & experience of selling to various industry segments specific to the General Industry is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of applications in the above General Industry segments will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of CRM tools / MS Outlook express / MS Office will be an asset
