Lead Project Management Specialist – Install/Construction

Responsible for activities related to the Hydro turbine Erection and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Essential Responsibilities:-

• Identify the EHS requirements and train site workers / sub-contractors as per EHS guidelines sincerely.
• Identify the Drawings and documents related to Turbine.
• To prepare detailed planning of each activity of Turbine assembly and its auxiliaries within the schedule’s duration with clear measurable progress parameters.
• To prepare detailed resources required for each activity of Turbine assembly and its auxiliaries within the limits and reasonable backup.
• To prepare project specific erection procedure for all Turbine installation keeping site situation in consideration and, review with the site team.
• Identify the resources required such as manpower, tools, consumables etc.
• Identify the checks, and tests to be conducted with respect to control sheets of each Turbine assemblies.
• Identify the interfaces and address all issues and define action plan.
• To prepare risk assessment and action plan for every activity of turbine assembly, get validated by EHS representative and review with all his team and actions defined.
• Review EHS requirements and arrange to fulfil the requirements as per risk assessment and ensure safe working methods are implemented and adopted.
• Lead site safety audits and furnish EHS monthly reports.
• Involve in work front handling over and taking over from and to client and within inter departmental.
• Review the drawings and documents; prepare the materials requirements including consumables for each Turbine activities.
• Material and consumable verification including preservation and ensuring the timely identification and notification for each Turbine assemblies assigned.
• Tools and plants, equipments, special tools, precision tools, measuring instruments etc. verification and ensuring the timely identification and notification for each Turbine assemblies assigned.
• Testing requirements verification and timely identification and notification for each Turbine assemblies assigned.
• Quality requirements verification and timely identification and notification for each Turbine assemblies assigned.
• Guiding the team, stage verification of activities and ensuring the works are being carried as per the drawing requirements and quality requirements for one or more Turbine assemblies assigned to individual Supervisor.
• Guide the team and ensure every individual are followed the EHS requirements for respective Turbine assemblies assigned to individual Supervisor.
• Guide and execute the activities for timely delivery with quality and safety for respective Turbine assemblies assigned to individual Supervisors.
• Guide and execute timely and quality reporting with sketches / photos for respective Turbine assemblies assigned to individual Supervisors.
• Guide and execute timely completion of documentation including red marks drawings for respective Turbine assemblies assigned to individual Supervisors.

Educational Requirements:-

Mandatory:-

• Technical education / Industrial Training / ITI in Production / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Having vast Work Experience and exposure related to the Job assigned.

Desirable:-

• MS word / MS Excel
• IT Skills Computer literacy well versed with E-mail and Internet Explorer.

Experience:-

Mandatory:-

• EHS awareness and eagerness to follow and Implement strict rules, as applicable.
• Good Communication and Proactive approach.
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret Engineering drawing & documents and technical procedures, must be able to lead to ensure upkeep of the same.
• Hands on working experience and technically exposed to the hydro Turbine works

Desirable:-

• Dealing with cross functional teams (engineering, sourcing, projects, field services, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers) including C&C experts and PMCC
• Quality assurance.
