Lead Project Engineer - DCS Controls

As a Lead Project Engineer - DCS Controls you will be responsible for:

• Apply electrical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, test and troubleshoot controls systems associated with the industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, LNG, Refineries, Water Treatment, Chemicals, Alternate Energy or Paper/Pulp etc.
• Review contract documentation, customer specifications and experience in creating equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate control solutions.
• Design/Implementation of plant control systems (DCS, PLCs) in above mentioned industries to work in brown or green field projects.
• Design/Implementation of Safety Integrated Level (SIL) Loops and various third part interfaces such as OPC, Modbus, IEC Protocols, Profibus, Fieldbus etc.
• Develop detailed engineering documentation like I/O List, Functional Design Specification, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, FAT Procedure etc.
• Analyze various sub-systems or auxiliary controls for brown or green field projects.
• Review process requirements and implement required control strategies.
• Interpret and translate specific customer requirements into series of actions with quality deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership to the project engineering team on the control design aspects.
• Lead customer meetings, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Integrated-FAT of control systems.
• Support field services team on project installation & commissioning as needed.
• Travel as required for supporting field services team, customer meetings and FATs.
• Apply knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs.

Qualification And Experience:-

• 6+ years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in instrumentation or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge & experience on Hardware and Software design with Distributed Control System (DCS), PLC, SCADA systems.
• Working knowledge & experience on Industrial Cyber Security, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Industrial Networks.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English, with demonstrated capability to structure and write technical material.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work and meet project engineering schedules.
