Essential Requirements:-

  • The candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Masters’s degree in any subject related to thermal engineering/process engineering
  • Must have 10 -15 years of hands-on experience in design, engineering, process design in projects of energy (power and/or oil & Gas field) business line.
  • Knowledge and experience in software simulation programs and strong knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and awareness about the industry codes and standards.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Effectively convey technical concepts and recommendations both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:-

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:

  • Take ownership of preparing essential design documentation, including Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), system descriptions, sizing calculations, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), technical evaluations of proposal, and vendor engineering for equipment and systems used in projects of energy business line .
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate effectively with equipment vendors, ensuring that the specified components meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and experience to foster professional growth within the team.
  • Handle process activities such as studies and design n green field as well as modifications/augmentation  in the operating facilities.
  • Develop simulation models for assigned operation facilities.
  • Develop, review and/or validate plant mass balances.
  • Look for opportunities to optimize operations and implement them accordingly.
  • Use software simulation program required for the projects design & engineering
  • Provide technical direction/support to contractors/vendors associated in the project.
  • Handle technical issues with the client.
  • Participate in safety studies like HAZOP Study, SIL study, LOPA and QRA etc.
  • Participate in  process safety audit studies.
  • Lead groups of engineers in execution of projects.
  • Provide guidance on standards development.
  • Lead Health, Safety and Environmental studies implementation in plant design.
