Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • This position will have exciting job opportunities & you will join an awesome product scrum team
  • Scrum team will practice Agile & Scrum to develop digital engineering capabilities to deliver value creation & customer excitement
  • Deliver and execute digitalization strategy roadmap and digital engineering capabilities within your product area
  • Initiate and promote Electrical Standardization activities and develop digital parts and modules catalogues to accelerate the digitalization journey
  • Responsible for classification principles and functional characteristics definition for both Electrical commodity and non-commodity parts/components together with respective functional leads
  • Actively identify opportunities for standardization together with stakeholders from across the value chain to reduce cost and improve global availability
  • Drive and develop expert knowledge within your area of responsibility and build guidelines and best practices to support Vestas within this domain

Qualifications And Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical (Preferred) / Electrical / Similar engineering
  • 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience from WTG domain or Engineering industries like Aerospace / Automotive / Energy Sector
  • 5+ years of experience working with Electrical engineering design and specifications and standards
  • 5+ years of experience working with new product design & development
  • Hands-on experience in digitalization and engineering capabilities development
  • Basic skills in Design & PLM Tools and processes (e.g. Windchill, CAD Tools, and SAP)
  • Basic Knowledge of Reference Designation Systems (RDS)
  • Competency in reading electrical schematics of Panel, turbine etc

Competencies:-

  • Good knowledge in global Industry standards (IEC, ISO standards, etc.,) approvals and practices
  • Experienced in general Electrical or Electronics Engineering (MV & HV)
  • Full technical understanding of functional characteristics of Electrical and control hardware components
  • Should have performed DFMEA’s and have a clear understanding of P-Diagrams
  • Good knowledge of Electrical components like control panels, cable, lighting, power supply, UPS, Enclosure and boxes
  • Good technical understanding of Electrical and Electronics component specifications (Technical specifications, drawings, etc.,)
  • Good technical understanding of supplier catalogues parts and industry-standard parts (off-the-shelf components)
  • Should be committed, ideal team member, and have effective stakeholder engagement
  • Good communication skills and fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum ways of working
