This exciting role offers opportunity to:

  • This Lead Engineer – QA role would primarily be responsible for performing the the Process Quality Assurance activities in Eaton Vehicle and eMobility product devlopment projects inline with various applicable industry standards i.e. ASPICE, ISO 20262 and TS 16949.  This role will also participate in defining strategy, direction, priorities and develops constructive QA solutions aligning to vehicle and eMobility business needs in key growth programs.
  • This role would coordinates multi-disciplined engineering projects from System Engg. Teams to Hardware and Software Teams and serves as an expert resource for these teams from Quality Assurance perspective.
  • This role would also be involved in Embedded systems development process definition and deployment in line with industry recognized process frameworks i.e ASPICE, TS 16949 etc. and product safety certifications i.e. ISO26262 and IEC 61508 etc.
  • This role will also prepare/review and approve the project quality assurance plan, conduct process and work product audits and enable respective projects team to close these gaps within stipulated time to ensure the compliance with various standards per project plans.
  • The incumbent must be proficient with current embedded systems development methodologies, tools and practices, processes and capable to transfer best practices across projects and businesses
  • Provide tactical and strategical Quality Assurance and certification direction to engineering teams in line with organizational objectives and industry recognized standards
  • Accountable for quality of deliverables related to System Engineering and Embedded Systems ( Inc HW and SW) primarily for Vehicle and Electric Vechicle Products inline with ASPICE, ISO26262 and TS 16949
  • Lead quality assurance activities in multiple large scale projects while working with global teams and lead the certification efforts and mobilize the activities of engineering team to fulfil the requirements of various internal and external  audits

Qualifications And Experience:-

Requirement:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science /Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in the leading the Quality Assurance activities in airborne complex programs inline with industry standards i.e. ASPICE, ISO26262 and TS16949
  • Proven experience in Process definition, deployment and managing improvements cycles in Embedded Systems”
  • Hands on experience in participating in various SOIs or customer audits.
  • Experience in providing QA support Software verification (Requirements, Design, Code reviews) and validation (Unit, Integration, System testing). At least 4 to 7 projects with full software life cycle.
  • Technical documentation and Requirement management Knowledge and awareness of software life-cycle process and configuration management.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded software development process
  • Knowledge of  White box, Black box, Integration Testing – Writing and executing test cases.
  • Knowledge of software design methods
  • Must possess good understanding of terms and concepts like QMS, Process Improvement, Causal Analysis, Estimation, Project Management, Risk Management, SDLCs, Reviews, Defect Management, Configuration Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts.
  • Strong problem solving and reasoning ability, exhibiting technical innovation and creative solutions.

Skills:-

  • Certified Provisional Assessor of ASPICE and Certified Internal Auditor of TS16949
  • Experience in using various process definition tools i.e. Method park, Rational Method Composer, Visio etc.
  • Exposure of various defect/Issue management tools i.e. JIRA, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Requirement management tools i.e. DOORS, JAMA etc.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified ISO Internal Auditor or Trained ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or CSQA”
  • Ability to work with global teams to drive & communicate results appropriately.
  • Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment and independently
  • Problem solving, creativity, Technical learning and Process Management
  • Influence and drive people / activities on complex process issues. Build Organizational capability assessment for the group. Champion and drive for the certification roadmap. Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class design solutions in line with present and future business needs. Provide timely status and reports to stakeholders.
  • Liaison and work as interface between Eaton and external auditors on approach adopted by engineering team and various other certification activities i.e. logistics and methodology; Look for opportunities to expand/grow business. Build Customer relations, Influence, negotiate to set realistic expectations  with customers
