  • Develop a innovation problem statement by comparing current state-of-the-art power electronic devices / technologies for BEV applications (Ex: Power density vs cost)
  • Define Power Converter Topologies, PWM Techniques, Magnetics Design, Power Semiconductor devices, Electronics Packaging, Thermal Management
  • Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using virtual simulation tools and down selects few for MVP hardware trials
  • Define and execute incremental innovation in Inverter & Converter topologies, Switching methods, Isolation design and Circuit protection for high voltages.
  • Define architectures with EMI / EMC active filtering and select power electronic components in tune with the requirements
  • Define and create architectures for CAN and high speed data exchange, input & output configurations to various control hardware requirements
  • Define and execute design solutions that meets reliability, functional safety (ISO 26262) and applicable standards per customer & regional requirements
  • Self-monitor the progress of the sprints and integration with overall project milestones, responsible to bring up issues and potential resolutions
  • Practice key principles of Automotive standards from ASPICE, ISO 26262 and various IEC standards for compliance and quality management
  • Generate a distinctive potential IP / differentiated value / competitive advantage and champion disciplined experimentation for product conversion

Qualifications:-

  • Master’s in Electrical / Electronics / Embedded Controls
  • 6 ~ 8 years of Automotive EV product development from concept – proto – validation, integration, production & post launch field issues resolution
  • AC – DC / DC – DC power converter, inverter design experience
  • Tools: PSpice, LT Spice, MATLAB/Simulink, Simetrix, PSIM/SABER
  • Standards: ISO 26262, IEC, ASPICE, DFSS, FMEDA, FMECA, Reliability”
  • Clarity of thought in a highly demanding fast-pace technological innovation ambience. High say-do ratio, confident in selling technical proposals to senior leaders (Chief Engineers, Directors)
