Lead Engineer-One Tool

Responsibilities:-

• Tooling Lead Professional is accountable to specificy, verify, validate, and find risk associated issues to the design
• Accountable for generating/reviewing Innovative solutions to design risks, Challenging and providing feedback to design solutions to fulfil the product and technology road maps
• Implement Improvements, Innovate and embrace risks to provide safety focused designs
• Review & Delivery of design work to gate reviews and to the project, matching specifications for function, cost, quality and time
• Provide support to design houses and fabrication supplier from clarifying tool requirements to reviewing design documentation and fabrication process
• Conduct FAT, SAT, and overload tests together with PM and relevant stakeholders
• Provide 1st line support on tooling documentation to stakeholders on different offshore tools

Qualifications:-

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or allied, with minimum 8 years of experience in Tool design or product engineering manufacturing
• Experience in Mechanical design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards

Competencies:-

• In-depth knowledge in Structural Mechanics (lifting tools & structures) with thorough understanding of Engineering Basics and GD&T
• Experience in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, using CREO/ PDMlink with Knowledge on FEA (ANSYS/Pro-Mechanica)
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and insight into wind turbines, e.g., welding processes and material properties
• Knowledge of Wind turbines & heavy lifting/ Transportation equipment
• Should have a creative approach to new opportunities, a natural proficiency in innovation and thrive with varied tasks and constant changes from day to day
• Should be result oriented with a professional focus on the task and to be able to meet the deadlines with the right quality
• Team member: professional collaboration focus and ability to motivate colleagues within project team
• Exposure in working in an intercultural environment
